Shelter Islander Releases Book About Living With Autism
The spectrum of Asperger's Syndrome and Autism is one that is hard to define, but Shelter Island native Alex Olinkiewicz has done it in his first book, "In My Mind: A Journey Through My Life With Asperger's / Autism." The memoir recounts the 21-year-old's struggles with the disorder and his feelings of normalcy and limitations living with it.
