Answer a question for me please.
Why do you go to church?

To worship my creator, to show love to my savior, and to fellowship with other believers.

I did not say I couldn't do that at home. I can. I just choose to do it with other believers. It's nice having another family.

And thank you for that appreciation :) Unfortunately, I will not reveal my identity on this social app , but I would love to invite you to my church. You just seem curious perhaps, and my church is very open and loving. Just a thought.

No biggie, worth asking. You know I may be odd, but I believe in evolution AND creation. Odd, hunh? Evolution is obviously true. But that doesn't mean that God did not direct it.

Tell you something man. I had my doubts about religion for the longest time. The bible seems full of contradictions and fairy tale stuff. Only when I was down and out and was only clinging to a hope that just maybe there could be a small chance that it was true did I start studying scripture. Big difference in studying and just reading. The only way a person will ever see the truth in the bible is if God permits you to see. Otherwise it will always be just foolishness and nonsense. God has to open your "spiritual eyes" the only way to recieve this is #1 ask #2 prove you mean what you are asking for is really what you want. Get a good study bible and a dictionary slowly read through the scriptures. Look up words you don't understand take time and break down what you are reading and remember the time frame difference that the bible was written to people in another age and a different culture. When God sees you are really trying to find him he will reveal himself to you and then when your spiritual eyes are opened you will realize and be embarrassed that you were in fact wrong. Give Southeast a try or listen to some of the sermons online. Good luck brother

Brother, don't you think it's odd that people always find God when they are down and out and in rough patch of their life... Like you said bible along with other religious books were written many years ago by people just like me and you, Why should we take what they wrote as a way to find God.... They early humans were less evolved and primitive thus they needed a book to guide them and show them wrong from right... As you remember during those times people believed that the earth was flat.. See my brother Bible is nothing but a fictional book which includes stories told by word mouth, there is no proof that the words in the bible came from God..

I'm sorry about the Sir comment back row baptist :) and I applaud you for not discounting science and years of proof in your beliefs in evolution, I hope that more religious people had the guts to say the things you said......

Why does a church need MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to operate? Jesus was a peasant born to a carpenter and a prostitute. Jesus didn't have MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to send his message. Jesus never had ESCALATORS to HEAVEN. I am not knocking anyone who BELIEVES IN GOD AND JESUS, because I do... ON the other hand when does ENOUGH BECOME ENOUGH...JESUS spoke his words Carrying a CROSS to CALGARY, He never carried a OFFERING PLATE!!! I worship through my actions and self-less contributions to THE NEEDY!!! When I tithe it is with THE SWEAT OF MY BROW, and THE HANDS that my CREATOR GAVE ME TO WORK WITH...I will leave you with this..".No church has ever had a money problem, just a faithfulness problem" Pastor Brian Kluth

Belonged to several Baptist Churches as a believer . We were poor, our churches never had money to do many things we wanted to do. Times change and churches now do many of those things . Of course living on the farm never provided a lot of money--, steady flow.

More like a cult than a church. I've seen so many get brainwashed going to that place
