What the hell is running loose on Ditto Road that is killing goats, cows and other livestock? It is not eating them, just maiming them and leaving them for dead! Scary as hell is what I say and think!

I was out that way yesterday shooting some guns and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary on the farms. The prints look like wolf to me so i guess i could be a pretty sizeable wolf not native to these parts. Other than that i cant think of a reasonable explanation. Would like some more concern from the local news about it or at least have a witness come forward.

I was thinking wolf or coyote myself. I have 3 small kids and they like playing on my farm but until this thing is caught or killed guess they are going to be playing in the house. Fox 41 last night didnt even have the sense to say what part of Shelby county it was maiming the livestock in and I heard it was in Waddy on Ditto Road, 1.5 miles from my farm!

Yeah ditto road is where the goats were killed i believe. My father in law goes shooting out there almost everyday with his friend and he shoots at night sometime, so today he took his high power rifle with him. Im hoping it will run up on him and he cant get a shot on it. Something that kills for fun, as this thing seems to be doing isnt to be taken lightly. I hope that you and your children stay safe until this is resolved. I live in Bagdad and none of the residents here have said anything. I suggest going to the meeting in Waddy on monday night.

I'm not a professional by any means but since dogs usually maim chickens and not eat them, I'm saying a large coy dog.

Well now they are saying coyote but a coy dog is more acceptable. This time of year they have been known to be extremely territorial to protect their young ones, and eating the faces off of animals has been reported. I'll say coy dog for now unless the attacks go on to bigger animals.

Yes Seriously I was serious. My wife is allergic to dogs so we do not have one and did not know what it was.
I guess I did what I did not want to do and I sounded stupid.
Thank you From Waddy!

I live in Waddy you can hear them howling at night down in the holler. About six weeks ago my two dogs woke me up barking, I looked out and a coyote was pacing my dog pen. I brought my dogs inside, I let them out in the pen during daylight only now.

I hear something howling off of Bardstown Trail and I am positive it is not a dog. Wolf or coyote sounds more like it.
Just like "Oh My" said, everyone be careful and keep an eye out for anything strange.

I live on Bardstown Trail also. I saw what was in my yard a few weeks ago, a coyote. Darn thing didn't even act afraid when I opened the door! Not sure what is on Ditto!

I have not actually witnessed this creature but the sounds are scary enough and I just want it caught or even killed. I feel bad for the people who have lost livestock and pets because of this thing. I hope they catch it before it hurts or kills a person.
