Is anyone willing to help me clean up the
"old" Sand Creek cemetary the first week
of July? Not the one that is easily
accessible; this is the one on Joe Tiptons farm that is nearly buried.

This one is where B H Lovins, the Turrentines, Waldens, and others were
buried some 97 yrs ago.

Would appreciate any help or loan of
lawn tools and really would appreciate
some muscle.

Please contact me at [email protected]

Thank you

I found my great, great grandfather's and grandmother's headston shown online by Reverend Abbott. My thanks to you and everyone who helped to clean up the cemetary and to post this for us to find!!

I need to apologize to the citizens of the county .
A lady from Mattoon told me the old cem was in ruins, when in fact I think she was referring to
Bruce cem.
I need to get more info on this to be sure.
I went to Sand Creek and it is very well maintained.
