"I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me".
To refuse to pray is to turn your back on the Lord, our God. And yet those same individuals are often the ones who will call upon God to rescue them from illness or the troubles life can sometimes bring.
We can't have it both ways. For "No man can have two masters". Either we love and honor our Lord-or we don't. But if we refuse to acknowledge God here on earth, than we best not be expecting God to acknowledge us when our time on earth is done.
