i'm riding for transpo now, and the city does take on a new feel when you're not separated by car windows/doors. i feel more connected, more aware.

wow. you pro'ly got a purdy mouth, too.

roads aren't yours exclusively. you don't get to dictate who rides where.

Interesting concept as it's the only really safe way to ride through many of those neighborhoods. Do it on your own and you're liable to be shot or get your bike hijacked. I know that's not really PC but it's the truth.

What about the hilltop where those stupid bike lanes were a big battle recently? Obviously the bike lane battle there wasn't as immportant as they put it off to be or they would have visited that area on their yuppy parade.

I like my motorcycle. I can go a lot faster and still squeeze between the cars in traffic and those parked along the curb.

the truth? i don't think so. i ride through alot of these areas frequently and never have problems. it might not be a good idea late at night, but i haven't ever heard a story of someone randomly jumped during daylight hours anywhere in columbus.

Try riding through Weinland Park or South Campus, just don't take anything of value. You're right ,though. Nothing good ever happens after dark in these neighborhoods, or any part of the city. Protect yourself.

I won't call YOU a moron, but the law ALSO states that vehicles (i.e.motorcycles) will be operated in an OPEN moving marked lane of traffic, NOT on the stripes seperating TWO (or more)lanes of traffic or parked vehicles.
