The show was actually very good and didn't portray the town in a bad light, it was all about the people and their struggles and the fact that this is happening EVERYWHERE...not just in big cities.

Many of the people that they followed actually got clean and turned their lives around. So why would they now, years later, want to file charges against these people?

Wait wait wait....I am all for arresting heroin dealers, users, and such....but they are simply doing this out of embarrassment.

There is no way a case like that would hold up in the court of law. It would be a collossal waste of money and resources.

Instead of trying to show just how great they are at capturing people featured in a documentary...why don't the police go arrest people who are out there breaking the law as I write this?

No, it is simpler to go this easy low road and arrest those in the doc.

What a bunch of jackholes.

Drug addiction is a disease that needs to be addressed. Prosecuting the individuals that participating in the report does nothing. Perhaps a better approach is to have Social Services try to get them into rehab, not Law Enforcement putting them into jail.
These documentaries are filmed and aired every day, all over the country. Feeling angry at being 'singled out' won't resolve the drug issues in communities, any more than denial will.
This is a real problem and it needs to exposed and dealt with.

If you don't want to be looked at as hicks, then don't act like hicks. Arresting people who participate in a documentary that educates about the horror of drug use is just pathetic. Addicts need treatment and help, not incarceration, a black mark for life and a lifetime of financial debt to the courts.

Typical denial is why.

Better they show to the whole world what is going on so people will change than they keep it hush-hush and nothing will change.

all of you complain about the mayor and the police but just imagine if you didnt have the mayor or the police...things would be a lot worse. Be grateful for what you have and get off the computer and start helping and do something to assist them. You people sound so ignorant and ungrateful

so these people agree to talk to the press and do the documentary and then they are going to turn around and use the evidence against them......so basically they were misled by those producing the documentary.

pretty dirty in my opinion

What is wrong with this world today? Our business is in

Correction---Our business is not in Iraq or Libya or any other foreign country. Our business is right here at home and needs to be handled. Our government is so busy giving money and support to other countries that our people in need are left in the gutters with no help or assistance.

This story aired on Oprah last year! It made me sick to see those children with such trash for parents. Something should have been done then to protect them. But good old Oprah; goes for the big story for ratings and does nothing. Thank God it's finally getting some attention.

So what, they know who's doing it and are supposed to do nothing? Most times getting whacked for drugs helps you get clean. I know.

Why they act now?

Shouldn't they have acted before Oprah made the news?
