The economy was on fire all through the nineties; bush got in took away the revenue and bam you have a major deficit! If you cut welfare and food stamps out totally that is less than 300 billion annually! However corporate welfare is over 700 billion annually! Do your research and the truth is there but they wont tell you this on fox news!

Oh, but you have lost your way, Tonto!
The Bush tax cuts not only cut taxes on the rich, but made significant tax cuts on ALL tax brackets! I am an employer who is now changing out the tax codes in the good ole Quickbooks program that we use for payroll... And yes, everybody is, as out great leader says, having to pay their fare share! about everybody is taking a pretty big hit! If you made $ 500 a week, then you will see about a tank of gas taken out of your check, in addition to what you has coming out before... Thank you ole' great black hope!
So if you think the Bush tax cuts were only for the rich... You need to change your TV channel...
And yes... insurance just went up about 20%!

You are slightly off on your numbers, the Fed reports that in 2011, the US Government spent just over $1.03trillion dollars on welfare programs. This does not include healthcare and social security programs that tax payers contribute into. I addition, welfare programs make up about 13% of the $50,000 per second that the US Government is currently borrowing from other counties at present.
I am not sure where you came up with the 300billion number... My question to you, is where do you think the "tax dollars" come from? Since most low income taxpayers don't pay income tax, and middle income earners get most of their income taxes back as tax refunds, and most millionaires take loophole deductions... Where is the money coming from...?

Yes got paid my check was smaller also by a substatial amount. Of course most of you welfare, social security disablity claimints who write here would know nothing about that becuase you have not gotten a pay check for so long. As a matter of Fact Obama added 4 percent just on Social Secrurity tax alone. That hits directly on take home pay

Obama was reelected on fear. Some people do not want to be successful because they would not know how to handle it. It would take them out of their confort zone. As lowly as their life may be its all they know. Fear of change. I was a member of the democratic party but came to the realization I cannot support their core beliefs any longer. I will not support any political party that is open to gay marriage or abortion. Society has been lost to the evils of the world. What was bad will be good and what was good will be bad. I believe we have just seen the tip of the iceberg as for things to come. Until we as americans stand up and demand change for the better and elect the right people, people who care about ethics, morels and putting God back into our society. If this is not the path we follow then the past events will continue to haunt us as never before seen. Its time to get get OUR country back before its to late

That is what you people get for elections a man that comes from a city that has more people on welfare than actually work. The entire state for that matter. He campaigned saying he would not raise taxes on the working middle class. He didn't. Instead, he eliminated deductions and in turn... RAISED YOUR TAXES! Thanks Barry Obama! Way to look out for the low rents on welfare.

Well said! Our country is as close to having a civil war as it as ever been. Our wages are higher, the jobs are fewer, the workers are less interested, the unions are less involved, our corporations are barley able to compete with foreign trade, we won't let our kids hear about God, we make Christians out as bad people, our politicians are more dishonest and outright lie to America, and think no one notices, and most people who are reading this, won't see a problem with anything I said!

As long as enough people can be frightened, then all people can be ruled. That is how it works in a democratic system and mass fear becomes the ticket to destroy rights across the board.
