OBama becoming President of The United States of America today is a very exciting thing. He will use the Bible that Abe Lincoln used. The man who abolished slavery and the first Africian American to become President taking oath on the same Bible. That is a new start for the United States. Hopefully this will be the start to a better USA, a better economy. This is a very serious time for all of us, we all need to put our differences aside and start to rebuild what is left of our wonderful country. We have let it go over the years but OBama is giving us all a better life. It takes all of us to make a better world and nation. Ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for your country (JFK). We need to forget about the color barrier and unite as one nation under God.

I watched a little T.V. on my lunch period while shopping at a store that is closing due to the economy. What I saw of the speech and my surrounding was very emotional. People were stopped in front of huge T.V's watching his speech live. The store is closing in March and the thought of what we have been through over the last year and what may happen in the future, Obama speech made me see a light at the end of the tunnel. He said have hope not fear. I began to tear up and I know the way everyone was glued to the T.V. they felt the same. I felt we were at last going to start acting civilized and facing problems head on. I was proud today that people stopped what they were doing and watched. I felt united even though I did not know a single person in the entire store. Thank God for America. Let's get it back on track. Let get our soldiers home. Let's make this country great again.

I am not quoting President OBama but I was inspired by the part where he basically said get back up and dust yourself off. I didn't quite hear all of the before and afters because I was working and trying to listen. But It touched me to hear that at the time. Why? Because we all fall and we all have to get back up and try again. Don't let anything defeat us. He was basic about dust yourself off and try again. That is what America is all about. Trials and tribulations. 2009 is going to be the start of a new beginning. We have been through this before 1. The Great Depression 2. Pearl Harbor to name a few. At the time I am sure America felt as we do today. But nobody gave up. Rise above defeat
