Just in....Sullivan's Mayor stated that the culprits responsible for Clint Lamb's evening event is....LOOSE KEYS!!!! The dastardly immoral keys, jumped Mr. Lamb and forced him into the police car. After picking up 2 young kids, those disgusting keys, poured liquor down the throats of Mr. Lamb and his young passengers. To completely humiliate him, the keys then drove the car into the yard of a local citizen, sinking it into the mud, axle deep, and left him standing there with nothing left to do but call for help. Who was to know that the county mounties would make it there first. WHOOPS!!!

Drink plenty of me and then pick up a few youths to take along on a joy ride after stealing a police vehicle. Good going councilman, I suppose you will blame it all on me!

Surprisingly enough, many politicians holding offices in all branches and levels of government believe in voodoo to some degree, even though they may not realize it. Of course, many have heard the term "voodoo doll" and know it to be a hexed object in the form of a specific person which can be used to inflict pain on that person... As demonstrated by the voodoo dolls, those who practice voodoo believe (among other things) that certain inanimate objects can hold the power to control a person's life/actions... For many, many years now, politicians have attributed our crime rates to firearms. While it may sound reasonable to some on the surface, one must think this through and realize that at the core of this belief is the belief that a firearm (a machine, an inanimate chunk of metal) can control the minds/actions of normal people, forcing them to engage in criminal activity. This also correlates to the belief that, if only firearms were banned, violent crimes would drop because, apparently, criminals would no longer be compelled to victimize others...
And now we have a mayor attributing magical qualities to a set of keys: The keys made him do it. It's not his fault, it's the keys fault. Not surprising in the least...
Kind of makes you lose faith in those who hold office in our country, huh?

Here in good ole Sullivan County it's called Hoodoo or as locals pronouce it, Hooda. We even have our own "Hooda" buster here. When someone has been possessed with an evil "Hooda" spirit, either themselves, their home or an object that they own, our "Hooda" buster enters the home and allows the evil spirit to gain possession of his head, after which he runs from the home screaming until he gets outside and chants threatening demands until it flees his head to find another innocent victim to possess. There is reason to believe that it has possessed the courthouse.

This is natural behaviour for Mr. Lamb and his retired city policeman friend...whos name I won't mention. These men run the bars and drink outrageous amounts of alcohol then drive as if they are invincible. You can only break the law so many times before it bites you in the a**. I say charge him with car theft, DWI, wreckless driving, child endagerment, contributing to a minor, trespass, and anything else they can throw at him. I'm sure he'll get special treatment, they always do.

Your going to hear everything. That's human nature. I am not one to judge. I've made mistakes. I just didn't get caught.

We've all made mistakes, but this man thought he was above the law. He was abusing his "powers". I've seen him and his cop friend sit in bars and drink for hours and hours and drive away like so what, we can. What kind of example are they setting? When you are in such a position you should NOT be breaking the law. Sorry, I just feel it's part of the job. Who knows who was in the car. Maybe it was minors, maybe it was his retired cop friend. I feel they should all be in trouble. Everyone in their right mind knows they should not be running around drinking in a cop car. This man has abused his position and let down the community, for that and his crime he should be punished.

listen up, all you people who are dissing clint, you need to think about your lives and worry about yourself. I know everyone has skeletons in their closet,he just got caught up in a big mistake. If this was anyone but a politician it would be over. So i say get it over with. I heard the minors were not drinking so that is a plus for clint. Everyone slamming lamb, remember you arent the judge and it will come back to haunt you.!!Give him a chance to prove himself.

Wrong!!! If this were anyone other than a politician they would have several more charges on them. This is a "mistake" Clint makes quite often. This is just the first time he's been caught. Great the kids were not drinking, but their lives were in danger by riding with a drunk. We as adults are to protect our youth, not put their lives at stake by taking them on a drunken joy ride. Are you a complete idiot? Clint brought all this on himself and should suffer the consequences just as any normal citizen should. He abused his "powers" therefor resulting in a huge mess. I'm thinking about my life and worrying about myself and my children. Think of the lives he could have taken had he not got stuck in the mud. You need to think about the innocent people he could have hurt or possibly killed. Clint needs AA meetings. I've seen the man sit in bars for hours drinking beer, whiskey, jager, you name it. Then he and his retired cop friend would drive off as if they were sober. Not right!!!!!! I say throw the book at him. Let him do a little DOC time like any common criminal. I know it will NEVER happen, but it should.

Anyone who can not take the scrutiny of the public in an elected office, needs to stay out of politics. It's part of the package.

And not concern ourselves with what the politicians holding offices in OUR town are doing? I think not...

I know I've never mistakenly marooned a stolen cop car, carrying two underage passengers, in someone's front yard while shining the spotlight during a drinking binge in someone's home... Have you?

If this were anyone but a politician, that person would be getting charged with every law they broke. Not just getting a little slap on the wrist...
