The authorities had the site quarantined because of the explosion hazard: NOBODY got the shot you're looking for.
Don't they make telephoto lenses for that purpose?
Or is The Eagle photographer using a Kodak Brownie?

From a half mile away? Probably not.

The Berkshire Record had an aerial shot of the crash
site. Maybe they have a helicopter.

Sounds like FAA has yet to complete the formal investigation into the cause.
If you have a theory about what occurred, let's hear it.
And please use lower case when posting.
Using all caps is annoying.

Seems to me the engine blew(as it was a fresh rebuild)he landed in the field, ran out of room and clipped off a wing splilling fuel and causing a fire...simple, blasting caps, ammonium nitrate and caustic chemicals were on board and allowed for a perimiter fire containment only. No injuries, no threat to lives or propery. Common sense tells me that with 6 occupants and luggage...and no room for anything else so it wasn't carrying a destructive load. Blasting caps have the explosive capacity of roughly a 22 cal. short, amonium nitrate is inert

Hello, I am in Cal and as a child, long ago I knew a girl named Hollister - can't remember first first name but we all lived around Springside Park in Pittsfield. It is killing me that I can't remember her first name. Carol Dansereau and me knew her- maybe Carol babysat this little girl. Joan in San Diego formerly of Pittsfield

Being a pilot, and having owned 3 small planes, I always found it fascinating that so many small plane crashes get nationwide press. Why is that?
I have seen two or three online, just in the past few days.

A car crash, killing many people, gets only local coverage and happens every day, all over the country.

One would think that the airplane had just been invented.

Not sure if that is accurate or not!
Oh really! and I heard it was a world war two Messerschmidt which has been flying around looking for a place to land all these years....but I am not sure that is accurate either

The whole thing was another government conspiracy that went awry.
The Messerschmidt was meant to drop leaflets in Connecticut urging people to impeach Lieberman.
Luckily for the perpetrators the leaflets all burned up in the ensuing conflagration.
