i might be inclined to agree with your editorial in regard to purchasing power and some services, but your example is somewhat confusing. you cite Sheffield going "rouge" in regard to the regional school budget protest but in the next sentence you seemingly decry the creation of "bureaucracy". excuse me, but isn't SBRSD and other regional school districts bureaucaries with less accountability to local taxpayers ? to exacerbate the problem, in SBRSD you have district wide voting but individual town assessments. it is this flawed arraingement from day #1 that leads to town vs. town bickering that seems to be a constant source of distraction in the education of our children.
