My husband was recently in a motorcycle accident, and we saw this one right after it happened. Our hearts go out to both families invovled, and our prayers are with the family of the deceased. May he/she rest in peace.

I used to ride a motorcycle and yes, I did have a bad accident. To me, it's a matter of "when", not a matter of "if".

The reason for those obnoxiously loud bikes is so idiots like you in cars can HEAR them, because you can not seem to SEE them. I bet it was NOT a loud bike!

bad analogy, you won;t hear MOST of that LOUDNESS until the bike is past you, its merely physics.

thats not to say that the general public drives with blinders on, they certainly do, but thast a tired old ar=gument not really based in reality.

When I rode, I found chirping the rear tire with the brake was MUCH more effective at getting car drivers attention than say an anemic horn! Gotta be skilled to do that and do it corerectly tho....

I hope we are together when we find this piece of trash. Sounds like he needs a few boots up his A_Z_Z. Maybe a few to the jaw too. I'll bet he is a little B_I_T_C_H.

Turns out this accident was caused by an 80 year old driver of the truck drifting over the center line.(WBRK this morning).
Anyone still against testing of elderly drivers?

Poor Headline. He did not hit the truck as the headline would lead you to believe. The truck crossed the line and hit him head on. There is a big difference. My sincere sympathy to his family.

I drove past this accident shortly after it happened. I feel terrible for the family of the motorcyclist. So sad, so very very sad. If the rumor is true that the driver of the car was elderly,I would have to agree that driving tests should become mandatory for elderly drivers. I was almost hit by an elderly woman the other day. She never bothered to look back or anything and seemed completely unaware of the fact she almost hit me.
