I've had the good fortune to have two sightings.

First, outside Williamsburg center about a year ago. The puma crossed Rte. 9 appx. 100 ft. in front of my car. Smaller in size, abt. 4-5 ft. long total, including a tail about half its length, tawny in color with faint spots (no doubt a young cat).

Second, this month a large tawny cat about 6 feet long, long tail crossed Rte. 9 about 50 feet in front of my car, just west of Goshen, MA center.

Both sightings, unobstruced - I didn't have a camera with me but even if I had, too quick to react for a picture! I feel very lucky to have seen two!

Have seen mountain lions 3 times in 8 years living and owning property in Tolland. Have also had one cross in front of me on Norfolk Rd in New Marlborough in 2009. I guess experts would have to live here year-round to believe any of us.

Pictures? Castings of tracks? Fur? Anything?

No- just a bunch of people who insist experts are wrong and they're right. No proof, no nothing. Elvis, Bigfoot, UFO's, Loch Ness Monster... same thing. You want to be believed? Produce something other than talk.

I saw one when I was in highschool in the 80s in Cummington. We were painting at a house and the other guy with me said "did we really just see that?" It was about 2 1/2 feet high, tan with a big long tail. I have also heard of Hunters finding a dead deer in Windsor 20 feet up in a tree. What do you think put the deer in the tree??? Bigfoot??
Seriously Dave? Now I know why they call you the 'Lying King'

My husband just called me from Putney, VT and told me that while he was outside (now midmnight) he saw a large tan cat that was easily more than 50 pounds and it walked right in front of him about 6 feet away from him. He said he went inside and did not go outside again to check locked doors he did it from inside. He said it did not look like any domestic cat but it looked wild even though it did not run away from him. He said he did not run either because he did not want it to chase him. They are in VT no matter what authorities say.

You're just another Tea Party conservative liar. The government never lies. Nor do they employ people who don't now what they're talking about. Government is perfect. If you see a large cat, do not believe your eyes. The government said it is not there, so it is not there. Get it? How dumb are you, anyway?

In fact the government is using drone cats to spy on suspected evil doers. They are nothing more than robots with a taxidermy redo. The cool thing about these is that they can actually fly. Whatever you do do not shoot one, especially out of the air. They are now designed to explode if threatened.

Well there is a family present up in Hampshire County, seen by many of the surrounding neighbors. Seems Mass F&W won't go look at them! They say they need "proof", such as a picture or scat BEFORE they will bother to go look. One person came upon the adult female feeding a young one in brush, and retreated to get a camera, but they were gone when she returned. There apparently were tracks found in Goshen, and a fresh kill in a tree found over the winter. It was on state land, and it seems now nobody knows nothing! This family was seen twice over the last 5 years, and both times fish and wildlife said of course "they dont exit", then "well if they do they are captives that escaped". More sightings near Otis. The people don't bother calling F&W anymore they are sick of being called nuts.

There are no mountain lions in Mass.
Coyotes do not eat deer, ever!
Berkshire County has a great deer population.

We are the government. We know more than you.
All citizen reports are from idiots.
Now get back to work. We need more taxes to pay our salaries.

I saw a pile of feces in Pittsfield State Forest that could have only come from a big cat. Don't let them tell you there are no big cats around here. Damn idiots.

There he is ladies and gentlemen on his Sunday Pittsfield IP. Catch em in a couple of hours from his NA "Dio is always wrong" handle to witness what he brings to topix for an argument each and every single day. Virtually nothing.
