No more details. Too embarrassing I take it? I'm wondering if alcohol was involved.

Again...a story with absolutely no content, just a headline to draw clicks so they can charge more for ads.

His name was Barney Fife. To all you under 45 people. He was the clumsy deputy sidekick on a show called Mayberry RFD.
They are not saying who shot him though. My guess is his child did it. He left his gun somewhere it should not have been, the innocent child picked it up and pulled the trigger.

Barney Fife was on the Andy Griffith show, NOT Mayberry RFD.
Foolish speculation

Just to let you know mr. white, there were two sitcoms, first mayberry rfd, then came the andy griffith show, so before you comment on someone elses post, do your homework.

Conceal and carry to protect from idiots.

But somehow the idiots got a hold of his
gun and shot him.

Now defend that. No matter how you slice
it having a gun makes you feel more
protected but doesn't make you more safe.

Who has time to take the gun out when the
bad guy is your buddy or someone you didn't
realize was the suspect.

Either way it is a no win situation. When
you need it, it is not there and when you
have it someone has a hold of it and shoots you.

Even Police Officers need personal protection off duty as do private citizens. I pray the officer will fully recover from his injuries. People need to wake up to the fact that there are evil people out there and law abiding citizens need to be able to protect our selves just as Police Officers are. That doesn't mean the right person will suvive but we need to have the choice of personal protection.

Must have Barney Fife confused with Ben Folds Five. How did this comment page turn to talk about a show where Otis Campbell and Gomer Pyle were the real stars anyway?
