This is so sad I pray for the child's family, but can't help but wonder where were they when the child got close to the pond. Who was watching this poor baby.

Maybe they were looking for her....
Have you ever had any kids???
Sometimes kids wander away because their parents are doing yard work or something .
Drowning does not take long.
God Be with that family. What a horrible thing for them...

I feel the same way i feel bad for the family but a 2 year old doesnt just wander out without supervision. Where was the family when she walked down there? Why was she left alone in the backyard anyway? Someone knows something more than whats told.

You don't have little kids do you. And if you do then be quiet and grieve for the family. Anything less than that is wrong and cruel. Do you not for one second think the family is asking the exact same questions of themselves?

If memory serves me correct I believe this is the same pond a young man fell thru just this past winter. This Pond definately needs a fence around it.The city of Shawnee "I thought" makes Homeowners have a fence if more than 3 feet deep so why dosent this pond have a fence???

For all you ugly negative people on here. What happened is a tragic loss and a heartbreaking reality. Could she of been watched a bit closer maybe... but there was going to be a wedding in that backyard on sat. Im sure all kinds of people were running around doing last minute things before it started. So before you post negative things about a tragic death of a child because "nobody was watching her" maybe you should know the facts. It only takes a second and for someone to turn their backs for a moment for something like this to happen. Have some compassion people.. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

first off god can only judge ppl.and for the ppl thats quick to say how come she wasnt supervised obviously u didnt get the whole story or u didnt pay attention to the video.her family was preparing for a wedding and she wondered off.kids get into stuff and they wonder off.all it takes is a blink of an eye.instead of being quick to judge and leave rude comments, pray for this family.they just lost a beautiful girl.u were not there at the time and u dont have the full story.anighya lynn payne r.i.p baby girl.ur in a better place now.watch over your mommy and be the gaurdian angel of ur soon to be baby brother. i know u wouldve been the best big sister.god needed another angel thats why he took you.you will always be tt's baby.my prayers go out to raychel and her family.

I am so sorry I lost my granddaughter when she was 15 months because her dad and his family members where not watching her and she had fallen in a lagoon, they could not bring her back, it's been 4 years and it still seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms. They will be missed forever

Where you there? Do judge something you don't know. Now mind your business, they will never heal from this ever!!!!
