****sigh****

There are just too many babies dying this week....and too many questions.

Their argument is that they had 20 people in the house so therefore they were not incompetent, but that just makes me believe they were even more careless with all those people there. They should have been keeping a close eye on that baby, especially with that many people there an an open pool. I don't let my daughter out of site, not even for a minute, unless I know for sure that another family member is capable of watching her and giving her their full attention.

I'm sure the family is going through a lot, but now is not the time to be defensive. It only made them look worse...

I agree; but most people would think that they did nothing wrong. Remeber the mother who would not get off the phone and her child was lost in the woods for a few day? Whats wrong with parents, will someone inspirte me why we can't watch our own childern.

That is horrible this child had to die because of irresponsible adults - their fault she is dead, plain and simple.

I have to agree with the other posters. Only thing is, it was not an open pool, but rather a pond. Either way, the child should have been looked after. PERIOD!!! Where is the child's daddy? Nothing said about him. Also, if these people are so broke, how did this incompetent mother afford to go to Kansas? And now, she is going to have another child? Where's the daddy?

My heart goes out everyone involved in this tragedy. I wish people would stop pointing fingers and just be sympathetic. God Bless the family and those who knew and loved this precious little girl.

Come on People ! Give the Mother, grand-mother and family members a break ! No one is at fault here. How many times have you people loss tract of 5-10 min. of your child's where-abouts ? We've all done it ! This family needs prayer. They will live w/ guilt enough, without you angry people causing them more guilt !

You know, I didn't see the picture of the little girl until after I read the story and the comments. I couldn't understand why people were being so mean about it, until I realized a black family was involved, and then it all made sense.

I TOTALLY AGREE. Not a single one of you "PERFECT" mothers out there bashing this family can say that you have your eye on your kids at all times. That is absolutely ridiculous. Do you take them to the bathroom and shower with you? When you are doing laundry, cleaning house or cooking dinner, are they made to stand right beside you? NO. They can easily slip out the back door at anytime. So get over yourself and pray to God that you never had to go through this horrible tragedy.

Regardless of what race; a child has died. Who fault is it? The boogie man fault. I am not saying that she was a bad mother, but she is supposed to know where her kid is at all time. For those of you, who try to play the race card, grow up. It could have been a pure white person, but some nuts try to say because the child is mixed. What about those that are not mixed?

And what I think she meant by that is that the people on this forum are saying mean things because the baby was black..because nobody was saying mean things, or about the negligence/incompetence of the family regarding the other babies ..

A fat unattractive girl, who had to settle for a black man to have babies with! Now having yet another baby and cannot even pay for funeral for her half breed little one. They just keep having babies and expect others to help pay for them! Now this mother cannot even pay for a funeral and must rely on donations, and yet she is about ready to deliver another half breed child!
These fat, unattractive white women bring their ghetto baby daddies into white areas and destroy them.
It seems St Charles is the new north county. It's about time to move to a safer area before property values tank.
