There is no doubt that Ms. Melissa Marvin committed a heinous crime.

However, punishment must be weighed according to the crime committed. In Ms. Marvin's case, she was convicted of Murder Two, with her being sentenced to four separate, consecutive sentences, of a minimum of 15 years each, for a total of 60 years minimum. She must serve 85% of her sentence before she can be considered eligible for release using Good Time Credits. For what it is worth, Ms. Marvin did not leave her home that dreadful morning having planned any predatory crime of violence, but unfortunately got drunk, and unwittingly took the lives of four innocent teens, who did nothing wrong.

Ms. Marvin has now served more than 10 years incarceration. It is time to adjust her sentence with a significant downward departure, and release her as soon as possible, with a lifetime of Supervised Release.

Those of you who care about the victims and Ms. Marvin should make their feelings known to Judge Jerry Tillet, the families of the victims, and the North Carolina Governor. As it is, Ms. Marvin will be one of the longest serving prisoners in the United States. The time she serves will go well beyond the sentences imposed on those predators who plan their mayhem, and have no remorse. By all accounts, Ms. Marvin displays deep, genuine remorse for the tragedy she caused.

Ms. Marvin's crime was horrendous, and the Dare County Justice System has greatly overreached, making her sentence likewise horrendous and intolerable.

Release Ms. Marvin.

Thank you,

John Rentz

So she was so very remorsefull that while in jail she flashed the cameras her breasts and laughed.Yeah, real funny DEMANDING that her private doctor come see her for something treatable.A prima Donna deserves her name in murderpedia and she deserves her state number,no name just call her inmate number 573029 and her claim to fame can be just what you stated, that she holds the record for her sentence.Prima Donna Inmate number 573029 now has the popularity she always wanted....a murderer who got what she deserved in spite of money.

I was referring to the idiot who puts a cross up for MM. That is just ridiculous....

Not only did she flash her breasts, she continuously kept asking about her dog, rather than the people she just killed, and pissed all over the exam table at the hospital... And laughing all the while...

Have you ever seen an accident where 1 car was t-boned by another car? I have.
Have you seen such an accident with these kind of results? Accident scene photos: The Montereo was supposed to be travelling over 55 mph, yet sustains light damage, and comes to rest within 30 ft. of where it struck the Chevy. The Chevy was not moved at all, and looks as if it were crushed from above by a heavy weight, no tearing of the auto frame as would be expected from a "t-bone" type accident. Junk yard photos, closeups of the Chevy interior: no blood, not a spot. This all leaves me unsure as to what happened, it just doesn't fit the testimony, the physics of the crash described. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos of car crashes, and it seems impossible that the vehicles could have come to rest where they did if the collision occurred as described in the testimony.

I did not see where you were a expert witness in vehicle damage that resulted in the deaths of innocent children.Watching you tube,I hope you do not do brain surgery or fix anything electrical. If you were there in court you would be satisfied with the expert witnesses that testified.I have seen car wrecks but I am not a expert,I leave that to them. These children are gone, she is guilty and should be in prison for the complete 60 years.
But then she will be about what 90? oh well, choices were made to drink alcohol in excess and drive. The end result was damage for everyone but mostly for the parents who can not go see thier children.RIP to those young persons,God be with them and thier families to help heal the suffering.

The Cars were built so cheap that when they tested them the doors would fly open in a accident. So GM pays off a few people and came up with the solution that when the car is in gear the doors would automatic lock and that keeps them from flying open in a wreck. Thats why you have to manualy open unlock them when you stop and put them in park.

When did Missy flash her breasts? In 14 years of following this story, this is the first I've heard of it.

Just curious. If you just can't understand what happened based on the damage of the vehicles, the lack of injuries (to the very intoxicated suspect) and the positioning of the vehicles after the accident...What do you believe actually happened?

Do you think someone moved the vehicles to a different position before the cops arrived?

Do you think someone replaced the original vehicles with less damaged vehicles?

Do you think someone else was driving MMs vehicle and then after the accident, placed her in the vehicle with no injury?

As I said, I don't know what happened, only the physical evidence does not fit the testimony.

1. I'm not being critical but I'm curious as to what education or experience do you possss that would lead you to the conclusion that the physical evidence did not fit the testimony?

2. If you truly believe the physical evidence did not match the testimony, are saying saying there was some type of conspiracy?
