What is there about goverment education that makes us waste our money like we have no education. The school board could have bought several pieces of swamp land for the money the community center will cost. It says they will have "a computer lab, a gymnasium and general meeting space for various community programs and events "

A party house to play cards (they could have just opened the Marathon station 24 hours, always a game going on there), a place to shoot hoops(already have one of those hangouts for the police to be called to), expensive desks, really wet swamp land, and a computer lab to play games on. All with money we do not have. What an education for Bath County. No wonder we have no jobs.

Me too. There has to be some reason to do something for the benifit of only a few citizens. They could have built the center for the use of the whole ounty. Would Peasticks, Preston, Bethel,or Sherbourne have had a chance of getting it? lol

I don't know how much a factory would cost but surely one million dollars would pay for a small one. They could use the money as an incentive for a good factory to come here. We need jobs, not community centers. And lke huh said, most of the money will be lining a few pockets and they probably won't even hire anyone from Bath Co. to build the place.

This will have a basketball court and card room . With winter coming the poker game down at the service station won't have to be out in the cold when they lose their shirts off their backs. With all this unemployment to bad the couldn't spend a million dolars on starting jobs. I sure they send that Breshear packing next election.

Like i said Million dollars no ribbon cutting at the community days and still nothing has been done.lol Yep thats because they need more money to get it started.
What dumb forgot to figure out you have to figure easement allowances too.

Would have been smart to take that money and invest it on the Beth Elementary school that has been sitting empty. Why not combine both towns?

Sad ass town needs desparate helping getting back to normal and by doing that you need law in the town. Fight those whoa re breaking laws.
Come on Dorothy Stand up for Sharpsburg thats the reason your Mayor do your job!!!!!
