It was great that this year people decided to help the kids and do an trick or trunk sort of thing like the other counties do. Thanks to all that helped in whatever way you did. However it is sad it had to be so very small. There must be too many tightwads in this county afraid to spend a dollar to make a child smile. Having about 5 people hand out candy out of this county is shameful and could no one donate enough pumpkins for the kids, some never got to paint one and were sad. We have many any this county able to financially help but I didnt see them there. Im sure no one will loose any sleep. This town is getting down right pitiful, here some people try to help but cant get the help they need to make it a sucess. Agian thanks to those that did help with it my kids were thankful for what they did recieve im just sorry no one else could habe helped the cuase.

I don't think they did a very good job getting the word out. I would have taken my kids but didn't know anything about it.

Did you donate anything or help with this event in any way yourself or are you just bitching about what everybody else should have done?

It was like a trunk or treat. Not a trick or trunk.
If you didn't like it, and thought it was to small, next year take your butt to IGA, load your trunk full of candy, and haul yourself right on out there. Problem solved!

If you didn't know about it ahead of time then how did you know to go to it? I get sick of every year parents griping about how little candy their kids get or the ones who drag their kids to every event to make sure they get loads.

From what I was told, the people who were supposed to be there handing out candy backed out at the last minute. Be glad some people helped at the last minute so that your children could get at least some candy. Most of the people there got phone calls at 3::30 asking if they could hand out candy since the other people backed out. And pumpkins were still being brought in at 7:20 when I left, so I don't know when you were there and they were out of pumpkins. Just be thankful. And if you don't like the county, by all means go someplace else.

I really wish this community would act like one. If it had there would have been a lot of people to help out! I'm just curious to why it wasn't put in the paper or shared on Facebook or twitter I know there are a lot of kids who never get to enjoy things like this because there parents aren't informed! Not trying to hot nerves here just want to know who as a group or single person conducted such an event that not a lot of people in the community were aware of?

You really come across as someone looking for a handout. You will waste more money on gas then if you just went and bought them the candy, besides it might be safer. First I heard of anything like this at the Ag Center.

If you drive by the Ag center it has been on their sign for over a week now. I'm pretty sure that no everyone feels the same way that Mom does. I for 1 don't take my kids out to get all that candy, because if they get a cavity I have to take them to the dentist and get it fixed. I guess I'm not one of those looking for a hand out, but looking out for the health of my children. They trick or treat but it's not to see how much candy they can get. It's the experience of dressing up, visiting with family and friends and making memories.

I suppose you judge everybody. I took my child to make memories yes. My kids go to the dentist for check ups every 6 months. Besides hello Halloween what do think trick or treating is...its a handout. If ur not looking for one dont take ur kids at all after all u might go broke taking them to the dentist or they might gain a pound or get all hyper on you. Your only a kid once and I try to give my kids the best memories of it if people think bad of me for doing that, taking them to a public event then so be it. Like I said Halloween is a handout these days.

Who wants to raise their kids where a pill can be gotten easier than candy on Halloween!

Don't leave to soon. Pills are a lot worse at other places. My guess is you will have an almost impossible time finding a place not affected by this problem.

It was in the paper. Advertising costs money. Sorry there were no T.V. commercials for you to see. Geez.

Ok, so you bitch about it not being in the paper then say that people don't get the paper. What did you want a personal invitation? Maybe give them your address and phone number and they will make sure to call you. Give me a break.
