Its a brand new idea..in Sharon. It will have different things on different nights. I think there will be music (band) and karaoke, zumba, etc. Larry Morgan is starting it up on JUNE 4th. Look for it at the old IGA building. Sounds like fun!!!

As stated above, Legends is opening this Saturday - June 4th. The plan that I know of is that Monday night will be Zumba classes, Tuesday night will be Line Dancing, Closed Wednesday, Karaoke on Thursday and a Live Band on Friday & Saturday, Closed Sunday. They will have some concessions - food and beverage - but no alcohol. The business is located in Sharon, in the same building as Gayle's Snack Shop, across from Sharon Furniture and next to the Train Tracks on Hwy 89 in the center of the city of Sharon. Larry and Tammy Morgan are the owners/managers of this new business that is planned to provide entertainment for the whole family.

Yes - Sorry - I had Tuesday and Thursday backwards. They did have a great grand opening! I really hope that they can continue to draw a crowd and have good turn-outs for the weeknight activities.

Legends Sounds Good BUT

Ok Legend sounds good for SHaron but what is the price of it ? Is it like a membership that you pay for like so much a month or is it something you would pay for nightly or can you do both and if so how much each way ? I think that it would be good for Larry to get on here and tell how much you will pay and how you would pay so those of us on a limited means would know if we can afford it . I for one would like to see it as a monthly dues sort of things so I could go and not have to worry about if I would be able to go the next week or next day . Just saying lol .

its $7.oo to see the band; $5.00 for the zumba class; & $5.00 for the country western dance class. It's fairly inexpensive entertainment! and definetly lots of fun.

Anyone know the # to Legends? Time for Zumba classes?

The Zumba class is from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday. The Country Western Dance class is from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Karaoke is from 7:00 pm to 10:00 on Tuesday.

To those who think $7.00 is too much for the band - compare it to the cost of going to see a movie. A movie typically costs $7.00 ( except the early shows and bargain night), lasts 2 hours or less and you pay a high price for your popcorn or candy and a drink - and all you do is sit and watch the screen. At Legends - you get 3 and a half hours of music - most of which is live. You pay a reasonable price for concessions and you get to dance and socialize with locals plus meet lots of great people who come from other communities to enjoy the entertainment provided by Larry and his band.

Which is the better bargain for a night's entertainment?

I am sure in 1980 that $4.00 was probably the correct price for entrance to see a neighborhood area band play. It might help to speak to Larry about a reduced fee if "a couple goes in together" or if you come on both friday & saturday nights.

I think this is a very nice idea and gesture! If there is anything lacking in society today its good clean "family" entertainment and these are all activities that the "whole family" can enjoy together. Even if the whole family could ony get together but one night a week, due to everyday responsibilities and the over all rat race that is life, thats still better than no quality time with the fam. I dont live in Sharon, but think this is a fabulous idea! I know my children would be tickled pink with the Zumba, karaoke, and most especially with the line dancing!:) Great idea Larry and Tammy, and may many families enjoy themselves and strengthen their relationships with each other!!

this concept is apparently working at present; if they can keep the dope and drunks out; it may even be successful! the band is a great diversion from tv and the drive is short, compared to going to Jackson or Dyersburg.
