Construction worker struck on Parkway in Berkeley

A construction worker was struck in a hit-and-run crash at milepost 78.4 southbound on the Garden State Parkway at about 4 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Lawrence Brook said.

Hi All,
Just want to say to all you folks out there driving. When you see these guys out there working, please drive carefully and decrease your speed when approaching these work zones, my little girls daddy is one of those workers and I can't tell you how many times he has almost been hit out there working on the roads. His work vehicle has been damaged by truckers coming too close and he has lost friends to wreckless drivers out there. Drive careful and remember those guys out there have families that love and need them. thanks
