It is so nice to hear about that the large donation to help with heat was given, was it given with stipulations as have been used by the heat assist program. My daughter was turned down for heat assist. She has a 800.00 oil bill because of it that she cant pay and they told her she would not get any more oil until it was paid. She now has a quarter of a tank. Her husband just left for the military 3 weeks ago, she has no income until his first military check comes and she does not know when that is. She has a 4 month baby in the house. I am sure the donations were made for any people that needs help not just the ones on welfare that get everything. How can she go about applying for this before her oil runs out. Her rent is 2 months behind her electric is due and scheduled to be cut off. I have worked all my life always gave and helped others and this is a shame that she cant get any assist. My next attempt to get her help is by contacting the newspapers and see I can get an article written up to make the community how people slip through the cracks. Just like the poor lady that died. She wont even try any more because all everyone says is no you dont qualify. Her husband is gone and wont even be back home for at least 10 months. She is always honest and gets nothing she knows several people that lie and get everything.

Donna I am a Army wife proudly to say your daughter should be getting his pay after he has been in bootcamp for a month they pay one month behind, what branch did he enter and do you know if he got a bonus for enlisting? if he did he shouldve gotten 1/2 upfront and the rest in installments she should also be getting BAH for Sanford/Alfred which is substantal, if you need to get more info she can go talk to the recruiter who recruited him. She can also talk to her husband when he calls her from bootcamp....if you need more info from me you may email me at ldywelder4u@yahoo.com I am available to try to help your daughter and she does qualify for assistance with a child in the house.
