What a horrible ending to someones knee jerk decision to flee. How many lives have been affected including the charged mans family?

This was a sad story and I feel so sorry for the family of the trooper. State Troopers risk their lives on a daily basis trying to protect and serve us. It is a tragedy that in order to serve us a life has to be taken.

When will the law breakers realize that you may can run and you may can hide but eventually you will be caught. Stop running and causing innocent law enforcers to lose their lives.....

it is sad that the trooper died but logic should of came into play... just cause a car has nitros on it dosent mean it mod for raceing use your heads you can buy new cars everyday w/ turbo and supercharger i guess there mod for raceing to... ya i agree he was breaking the law by driveing fast we all have done it and sum ran.. ok here logic when you r in a car that goes 140 and your to the floor and you see no tag and u blink your eyes and the car gone then something should tell you to give up but no it the thrill of the chase is why all cops hwy patroll and sheriff dept will chase i ride a sport bike and they turn around and come after me for 5 miles over the speed limit they wish and hopeing ill run i dont cause the cant catch me i pull over and jus laugh at them

Everybody always assumes the cop is in the right, everytime... Not always, the cop decided the kid was guilty before he began the chase or else he wouldn't have driven beyond his capabilities! I'm sick and tired of "ticket-taxes". The National Highway Safety Commission lists; "Leaving the Roadway" as the number one cause of death, not speed! Speed is just an easy excuse to tax our poor drivers to death! Interstate speeds used to be much higher than they are now with 80mph as a national average.. Cars and Roads are 100 times safer and more capable of higher speeds now than ever before. Even Germany's Autobahn is proof of that, sheesh, never thought Germany would have more freedom than American, go figure... JJ

The cop didnt decide the guy was guilty, he decided the guy needed a ticket or to be arrested, cops dont decide innocence or guilt. Did this collision happen on an interstate? The autobahn system would work perfectly in the U.S. But I dont support people driving like this on smaller roads or residential areas. Also you need to articulate on "leaving the roadway" what factor causes people to leave the roadway? I would imagine speed plays a big part in it. Or maybe speeding and loosing control and overcorrecting. Further more I am sure that cops dont really care about writing speeding tickets but they do have quotas they have to meet.

Speeding laws are stupid but Troopers are not state legislators so they no choice but to enforce the speed limit. Also he was in the right. He was doing what we pay him to do.

What really happened? Did the trooper lose control? Run off the road? Did he swerve to miss another car? I don't remember reading in the paper what exactly happened or if they even know. I agree the young man in the car that the officer was chasing was at fault. It was an accident but with intentions of getting away he made a wrong decision that will effect everyones life not just his.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
