Religious Freedom in Fulton co.

It is becoming evident to me that a big predjudice in Fulton Co., seems to be religious freedom. People here seem to think if you are not of their faith or a "christian", that you are not fit to be around. This applies to all religions on the fringe of our culture, and to those who decide that non-religious is the way to be. I have seen several examples of this lately and it is disturbing. That was the reason that people came to America. Because of religious persicution. And we are carrying on that persicution and its very popular. I am an athiest and when people find that out they treat me very different. But there are others among us who believe in religions far older than christianity, like Buddisim, Celtic religions, some that worship many gods and some that have one. We have Menonites and Amish moving into the area. We need to welcome them. We have people who are not at ease with even disclosing their religion. That is horrible. This is supposed to be a free country. And as far as I know this Co. is still a part of the US. The best way to understand is to learn about different religions. Take the time to learn and to accept your neighbors for who they are. And accept them for who they are without preaching at them.

You have just made my point. My home is here and unlike you I would like to see it made better for everyone, not stay in the same shape it seems to be stagnating in.
