Runoff election to occur in Myrtle Beach mayor race

Myrtle Beach residents will have to wait to more weeks to find out who their mayor is.

None of the five candidates for mayor received the 50 percent plus one vote required for a clear win, though Mayor John Rhodes and former Mayor Mark McBride received more votes than anyone else.

Rhodes received 2,540 of the 5,389 votes. Mark McBride was second with 1,472 and Bill Howard third at 944.

McBride will be victorious by TKO !

STOP. Why do you say that Rhodes is in again. He is such a loser that even with all his scare attics he was not able to stir up enough votes to win. So now that it has come to a runoff election there is a very good chance that Ex-Mayor Mark McBride will beat him. Do not count Mr. Rhodes losing chickens until all the egg heads are broken. Stay tuned because on the 17th Mayor Mark McBride just might get a chance to be Mayor once again. Now that the little old Greyhem Gremlins realize that we bikers are not coming back to Murder Beach the little old retirees can understand that they no longer need Mr. Rhodes. The can have their peace and quiet and also have a mayor that will do something about the crime. So it is not over yet.
