I cannot imagine this rally taking place without the Indians main speaker and supporter non other than Mr. Clueless Skip Humphrey the person responsible for promoting this lop sided agreement with the Indians in the first place and he wasn't even smart enough to include a sunset clause. Advocates for Indian casinos keep telling everyone how much good the casinos are doing for the Indian people, well, truth be told, they're not, if the Indians would spread the wealth generated from casinos throughout all the Indian communities and not just to the pockets of a few with huge salaries then they would be doing some good, the way it stands Indians are far more prejudice than the Minnesota tax payers, who support everyone regardless of; nationality, color, gender or creed. As a whole Indians are not a giving people, and once this rally is complete and the right people have received their payoffs, handouts and perks from the Indians it will be business as usual and the tax payers will still be left out.

It used to be important that people kept their word. Now, it obviously means nothing. Look at our track record of broken treaties, and then explain to me why we should be entitled to mess up all that the Natives have worked so hard to develop?

I work for the casino. They took me in when no one else would hire me. I now make a good living, paid a very fair salary and have great benefits.

Since Minnesota Gaming is a mature industry, allowing gaming in more places would not bring in more jobs, but shift the jobs from one location to another, providing what Vegas has - more machines and casinos than players. All are struggling, and no one is doing well.

Leave us alone. You didn't help me in 2001 when I was unemployed, but the tribe did. Don't try to 'help' me now. I am doing well and supporting my family. If your proposal passes, it will screw it all up again! Then who will feed my family and provide medical care?

Its a no brainer, the Shakopee and Mille Lacs bands have plenty of gaming profits to share but have proven over and over again they wont. Put in the slots and build a football stadium with a roof.

I dont think Mystic is closing the doors if Canterbury gets some slot machines. The tribe will still be able to take care of you.
