CHEAP LABOR, CHEAP LABOR, CHEAP LABOR. Need say more. This region will always be about attracting companies for cheap labor and big profits. No surprise Tyco won't allow transfers to New Mexico since they don't want to pay them their normal salaries. I'm glad to have left and found a great career (not monkey job) elsewhere making the money I deserve for my family.

i think the article should notate that Tyco and Tyco Electronics are 2 different publicly trading companies.

THAT IS ROTTEN TO THE CORE!!!

Those losing jobs can't transfer to the New Mexico jobs.

Moving the plant to Juarez where there is so much violence, that people will be afraid to even cross the bridge.

They're moving production into Jaurez and leaving a small office in Santa Teressa so the executives dont have to go into MX.Transfer what jobs?( Not to mention house wich cost MORE here) The execs want to move to a sunny warmer climate and not retire-so they move the whole bussiness and ...cut cost so they can live high on the hog in the willows with the rest of thoose SOBs!

Damned right it is. George Herbert Walker Bush. He is who dreamed up and pushed NAFTA. Clinton merely signed it but can't take credit for it. Read your history. In your case find a book with big colorful pictures in it to help you understand. Dipshlt.
