The market street on-ramp is my favorite on-ramp in the city. :(

I agree. This is simply SCANDALOUS. I'd bring any guests and visitors to the on-ramp just so we could drive up it and get a good view of the city, not to mention appear to rise up into the building surrounding it. Now it, like the wonderful Market Square Arena, will only be a memory. Maybe they could keep the rise portion as a skateboarding area instead of demolishing it completely and make it part of a public park....

Of course, forget the south side of Indianapolis. Instead of widening Dean Road, Shadeland Ave or Georgetown Roads, why not widen Harding, County Line, Stop 11, Southport, Banta, Edgewood, Thompson, Carson, Hanna, Post, Franklin, German Church, Mitthoffer and Cumberland? Huh?
These roads are too narrow and need to be widened now!!! Where our tax dollars going?
Harding was widened to four lanes about five years ago. Between I-70 and Kentucky Avenue Harding is six lanes.

I agree with you about the need to widen other roads in southern Marion County though.

What about Shadeland between 38th Street and Pendleton Pike. There are some huge holes in that portion of the road. Shadeland between Pendleton Pike and 46th Street is great after the addition of the extra lanes over the railroad bridge.

Arlington from Southeastern to Southport is in horrible condition, and sees a lot of traffic. Troy from Hunter to Emerson is also bad, as are all the side streets between Southeastern and Troy. With all the construction on the SE side, the county will have to do some major work in the next few years.
