I know that there is a problem with a few kids mothers' staying way to long. They seem to think because, they have a child there, they own the whole systym and it should revolve around them. There is more than 1 child there. You can spot a spoiled child a mile away and I sure see it. The parents of kids that don't jump eveytime their kid says to; are not making all the noise about this. The traffic is bad. I have to sit just as long as the others do but, it's almost like; I have a perfect little angel and he/she should not have to wait. I don't feel that way. I want safety first for all kids but, jus tto be able to say, I got my kid out first or my child is too special to wait; is beyond belief. I know of 1 mother that just goes way too far and wants others to do her dirty work and if she is asked anything, she can say,, I didn't do it. it makes me sick to see this and i know it goes on. instead of trying to stir up problems, try to come up with solutions. I think all schools have these types of moms but, we can change it and tell them to do their own dirty work and have answers, not problems. Think of our kids first and the safety of all and try to make dropping off and picking up safer.

My child is no better than anyone else....But why should some children be treated different, each day some of the kids at Springdale will be able to leave around 2:30 and the others has to wait til to the names are called out ,around 2:55... before parents are allowed to get them in the pick up lane..some of the workers in the building ,has other family members to get their children early .SO those children are leaving the school early, then why can't all of them be treated the same.IF you do not believe this come early enough &watch for yourself..and some of the other workers come out of the school with their children ,beside of them before 2:55 ...So this is not fair to the parents that has waited in line or to all the other children that are still inside the school. As to remind everyone we all got a letter that told us about the mew rules and time to pick up our children ....does this not apply to the workers at school ...Hope enough parents will come to the meeting tonight

How about the meeting tonight? Did anyone get any sense out of it? All I got was; we will look into it; which means forget it. The teachers and staff will still be picking up their kids early and nothing will be done. If I get my child early, they will be caounted as absent. This is beyond stupid. They don't get in the school in time to even get breakfast now. Mine can eat at home but, there are some that their parents' work and don't have time to give a good hot meal. I work too but my hours are different each day. I wish they would just get the traffic under control. Think about the kids and the fairness for all.

I said as much as I felt from thier expressions, was going to be allowed. This policy is full steam ahead. Not enough parents, could be concerned enough to go and make a stand. The part they didn't say a word about, was how the workers children could leave as early as 2:25 and not be written as tardy, but if any parent does they are, as well as the definition of tardy, as being late and not leaveing early. It remains to be seen about the 2 drop-lanes in the morning at Springdale. I'll know if there's a child in front of my truck, or i'll not move an inch. They can keep waveing, yelling ,or stomp thier feet. I would hope the other parents feel the same, no child should be put in danger. Just a matter of time before a child darts back, to retrieve something left behind in the car. Children are fastest when going after something they want. I didn't go to make friends and sure I didn't, I went for the children, yours and mine. Prayers are all that's left. Liable to have SULLY PORTS next year, GOD FORBID. Throat was dry after waiting till the end to speak, things came out scratchy and I'm not a public speaker, but don't think it would have mattered, from the exspressions, they never took a concensus of parent beforhand and thier not concerned now. Reminded me of washington, executive orders and Obamacare.

One last post, they said the policy was to prevent, a child taken from school, by someone other than a parent or authorized person. Just like Washington not the only story being told as to why. I like to read and study things , rather than have them dumped on me overnight. The first day wasn't the worst, but without even a note the next morning was, and then the fist of this week. God knows what will happen by morning. Luck and prayers to all.

if you can get your school board member involved the rest of the school board are much more likely to take your problem seriously. you can sit down one on one with him and make your case it will also give him a chance to explain his position.if you still fill you are right and he won't help.then work to defeat him next election.it's easier to change things from the inside.

Really; Thank You for the advise and I'll do that when needed. I have raised 9 children and never before felt a need to address a school board or go to a meeting. I took my son to school this morning and there was only 1 dropoff lane and only 2 people directing traffic. So at least it is safer for everyone in the morns. There's problems at all the schools and one board member said he has no idea's ,what to do at Forge Ridge it's such a mess. Again Thank You!

How long

How long will this go on before some parents go off the deep end and start fighting in the parking lot? I've seen and heard some parents and
know they are upset because, the teachers have family members to get their kids early. I don't get the unfairness of it but I guess all things can happen. If my kids have to wait shouldn't the teachers and staff's kids?

I had heard from a lot of parents, about thier displeasures. The meeting lastnight would have been the perfect oportunity to make a UNITED stand. With all the schools we have and all the parents, there couldn't have been a more dismal showing. UNITED WE STAND OR DIVIDED WE"LL FALL FOR EVERYTHING! I'm not sorry I went, would do it again. A lone parent cannot effect much change. By not coming to the board meeting, the parents effectively voted YAY!, to the entire policy as is. Wasn't said what all changes, they'll make at each school. At Springdale, they want to buy the old road right of was from the STATE, and extend the parking lot. Every dollar spent is money taken from educating our children.

... oh they can't do that, Fact! Another child might flip their ear or call them a silly name. Sticks and stones may break their bones, but words will give them post traumatic stress disorder and they will be scarred for life. Plus what would their friends think if they rode the bus versus having a chauffeur?

Oh when you say "sticks and stones" you make me think of whips and chains...

You have an answer for everything and everybody don't you. It must be pretty lonely up on your pedistal thinking you have all the facts when you really don't have a clue. Just a lonely old asshole with nothing better to do than give your useless opinions to people who really don't give a crap what you think.
