School safety is more important than my rights as a parent & I'd eat dirt out of a hog lot before I had to attend my child's funeral.

I suppose your one of those teachers that thinks its just the parents who are to blame when things can' t be controlled in the classroom.

what does tax paying have to do with my statement? And the comment about not wanting your kid around Mr. Give me a break. I'm the type of parent that would protect a child. Not sit back crying in hand waiting for help. Geez lady. Gimme a break.

I'm not the Antichrist or Christ himself Mr. Chubbyfunster. You made those comments. Now you're asking for a break. What happened to 'don't get in my way?'

& what makes you think I'm female? I don't need you in the school protecting my child. You transport & if you you thought my child was the one bullying your child on the bus, what would you do to him/her? You take your child to a public school system. Your choice. If you have no intentions of following the rules yourself, why do you think he/ she will?

Are you depending on the school system to teach your child to follow the rules too? You have no intentions. Your bone of contention is with your fellow parents. Children have no buttons on their backs to control their actions & behaviors. What has the most influence on them is what they're taught at home. Schools don't decide to have children. Parents do. Schools just do the best they can with what parents send them & lots of times school is a more pleasant safe place than what they have at home. I'm a good parent. I try to be better than what my child can get at school.

Wow. Getting way off subject. And now incinuating I would harm a child. Sick #$%&. Wth? My job is to protect my child. If walking them to class and driving them to school is I can do so then I will. These comments on here attacking me on levels that make absolutely no sense is crazy. My daughter was bullied to the point that another kid had to call us from school and tell us. Not the school. And not my daughter because she was ashamed. Now I keep her off the Damn bus to protect her. I have never nor would I to anything to someone's kid and your're disguisting to even suggest it.

I didn't suggest you would Mr. Chubbyfunster. You did with your first comment. It was hostile towards the school and there have been children who have gotten hurt when they got in other peoples way. I'm glad you cleared things up though. It still doesn't mean that if a rule is made for the safety of all children that all parents don't have to follow it including you. And that's exactly the subject.

Also, I don't wish for your little girl to be bullied on the bus or anywhere. I can' make sure my children won't make mistakes but I do my best to teach them how to be kind and good to others every day. Schools cant do everything and I have more influence over them since I had them anyway.

Keeping parents from walking children in & out of schools during high volume traffic times in buildings may not prevent a serious tragedy from happening but it's an effort. Now days, everyone should be making one.

I can't understand the problem of not getting through the line of cars. The same number of parents are coming to get their kids that came before and the traffic moved; why is it not moving the same? What is causing a traffic jam, if there was none before? Just wondering what is causing the problem. It seems that picking them up in a line would be faster than the parents going in and staying for an hour or so and talking to other parents and stopping the teachers from doing their jobs. I've taken my kids to school for years and not had a problem until now. It seems that new paretns letting go of their kids is the parblem and thinking that their kids are better and should be treated liek a baby instead of a child. When they start school, it's time to let the kids learn real life. Not everything is about themand they are no different from others and thinking that just because you have only 1 child and the teachers are suppose to treat it like you do, out of the question. WHen you have have 20-30 kids, they all have to be equal. I think that is one of the biggest problems we have. The picking up the kids is just an excuse to complain and try to make your kids stand out but, it's making it harde on us all. If you have a better idea for the traffic and dropping off and picking up your kids; say so. Don't be going on about other things and paying taxes. I've gotten off the realy subject because, I don't understand why people are so mad about what may be safer. I guess people will give me a good tongue-lashing, but that's ok. I've said anything about any one person, we are all in this together, as far as traffic.

Here's the fix. Next school year children will be required to go to the school in their district. Then they can ride the bus. Problem solved.

<quoted text>Clearly you are a SPECIAL NEEDS PARENT!!!
Exactly what does that mean? I AM IN FACT A SPECIAL NEEDS PARENT of a child that attends Tnt and I also have a regular education child at tnt. The parents of the "special needs" kids don't get treated any differently than any other parent unless its necessary for the child. I take my girls and pick them up everyday. I wait outside the door for them just like everyone else. Before you start bringing all this up here you should really think about what you say before you say it. Its bad enough for people to be on here calling kids brats just because their parents have the ability to take their kids to school. But you really make yourself look like an a** and a b**change when you start bringing the special needs kids into it. I don't put my kids on the buses here now nor will I ever because I know how most of the uneducated, undisciplined kids are on the buses and I don't wantto put my kids through that.

Sometimes i wonder who would do the most complaining if all schools just shut down. Teachers who wouldn't have a job or parents who wouldn't have anywhere to send their children for an education 5 days a week? Parents & teachers need to work together to make the classroom a good place to learn & there are always bad apples in every bunch.

I'm a teacher and I'd like to voice my opinion. I love my job. I went to school for 8 years after high school, paid off my college debts, and have 2 children that attend public schools. I love my students, even those who make themselves hard to love sometimes. My students get pretty good scores on tests and I have very few parent complaints. I appreciate the parents who I can call with an issue & they give help and support and that's most of them. Also, most of my fellow teachers can say very similar things. I would like to encourage parents not to underestimate what just one child's disruptive behavior can do to a classroom especially if it's chronic & repeated. What makes it worse is lots of times that child's parent is the one you can't get ahold of and if you do, the teacher ends up defending himself or herself. I'm not complaining about my job at all but I take offense to parents who criticize as if their child is the only one schools try to educate and label teachers as bad. Granted, there are teachers who don't do a good job, but there are parents who don't either. I can teach math, science, reading, language, social studies, motivate children to learn, provide care when they need it, wipe noses, try to teach them good character & kindness to others, and give or get help for them if they have special needs. Parent support makes my job easier & I appreciate it. But most of all I appreciate that parent support helps children.

I'm glad Springdale School has made changes ,they done it to keep kids safe and the teachers to. How can the teachers teach and also have to worry about if someone was going to come in and hurt the kids or kill them, safey is main thing for all .yes wait in line to pick your kid or grandkids up is long and its new .but it will come together soon, I dont mind the wait, I would have it any day in that line then be in the line follow my kid or grandkids to the grave yard
