Can anyone explain to me what is wrong in Seymour, TN. with most of the area restaurants producing poor quality and bland tasting food? I think customers are being misled and it's time the truth is told. With few exceptions, the "sit-down restaurants" in the Seymour area are lacking in scoring even an adequate grade among patrons. Most deserve a failing grade to be published in the newspaper and online. Being overcharged for inferior dinners is common practice. I encourage everyone to write their honest opinions of local eateries and you might issue a score for each one. Maybe these restaurant owners will take notice that Seymour residents do not have to tolerate sloppy service and lousy food. Our money will be better spent somewhere besides Seymour.

There's a new restaurant owned by "WILLIE'S" that has opened up at the old Bob's Mountaineer location. I was expecting something other than mediocre, but disappointing is still too polite of a description.
Save your' money! Too expensive for what you get.
Go to Calhoun's instead, at least you'll get your' money's worth of GOOD food.

I am visiting some friends in Seymour and found out real quick that the food joints are not real good. Come up to Lexington, KY where they know how food is supposed to taste and where the prices are reasonable. It's no wonder that restaurants in Seymour, TN close up fast and can't keep happy customers. They all serve pig slop! Can't nobody cook in these places?

We have traveled all over the world and found the food at Willies restaurant is great. We love the Italian dishes and the price is right.

Hooray for the world travelers!! Duh! Anybody impressed?? Not.

The NEW Willie's is not the same as the small Italian place you may or may not know. Go to the NEW place, then spout off about how great it is! Order the fish and shrimp...get ready for popcorn shrimp **and not the good shrimp that justifies the price. The food is unsatisfactory, too pricey and is one more failure in Seymour!(Willie's might want to stick to Italian dishes that have been successful for them. Just say'n!)

It's not a restaurant but is a take-out place that's great! "Papa Murphys" makes pizza to your' specs and you take it home to bake it fresh! Reasonable prices and great pizza! Give it a try!

Thanks for the information!! You have been a big help. I only wish more people would share what they personally know about restaurants, servers, cooks, etc. It can save us a lot of money and protect our health at the same time!!

If you want fast service, order your next chicken dimmer at KFC. I'll stay with Willies.

Haha. Ive lived in Seynour since 1995 and i would never voluntarily eat at one of the local restraunts here! Willie's Restraunt over near McDonalds is really good, but theyre expanding to other areas of Sevier County as well, they have a location in the Food City shopping center on dolly parton parkway in sevierville. They had a pizza place called Two J's Pizza that was very good that was there for many years, before my time even, but it closed a few years ago and they put that partons barbeque in there.

Coming from someone who lives here: i dont eat at restraunts in seymour. I travel to get good food!

I've eaten in Tokyo, Rome, London and a lot of places in between. Seymour is a great place to live. If you want better than small down dining, go to Knoxville. Best meals here are at the little Italian place called Willies. Best meal for the money (and fastest service)is the buffet at KFC. Two other interesting places are Parton's Bar-b-que and Bob-e-que. Long John Silvers would be okay if they'd fire that scuzzy cashier that coughs on your food. Food City deli is way down on the scale.

My friend ordered take out from Partons BBQ and when she got it to my house there was a freaking cockroach in it I suggest anyone who cares about quality to not eat there. I have worked in restaurants all my life and have seen some pretty gross things but that tops the charts.

Yeah, you hear stories like that a lot but nobody ever seems to get around to filing a lawsuit. And note that I didn't say it was top quality food. I said it was "interesting." Since you have "worked in restaurants all (your) life", is it possible that you might have a grudge against them?
