just because you are or were a soldier doesnt mean that you are all of a sudden a great person in every way. You have to give respect to recieve soldier or not.

Can you think of anyone else that puts their life on the line for others and doesnt get any recognition the way you are making a soldier out to be? I can! There are soldiers that sign up for the military for other reasons then fighting for our country. Soldiers are people too. What about giving the people credit that took care of their children while they were away. So yea, it's pretty funny that when someone is talking about Jeremy's personal life your defense was the person not having respect for a soldier. Those two things don't compare at all.

How does that not compare? He or she are saying they heard he is gay. He/she does not know for a fact that he is gay so him/her saying that from word of mouth is not having respect which he should have for a soldier regardless of why he signed up. Since we are speaking of irrelevance the reason being why soldiers sign up and who takes care of their children why they are away are irrelevant. We should all give the highest respects to soldiers regardless of why they signed up because they are still the reason this country is the way it is....free. And to make it clear I know Jeremie and I know he is not gay and also to the lady that posted this if she is serious then she needs to pursue him because he deserves way better.

Lets clear something up.....Just because someone is a "soldier" does not mean they have "risked their life on the line" for anyone. Being in the military does not give someone a free pass, respect is still earned, not given.

FTR, I'm not referring to Jeremy. I'm talking in general.

i think going thru basic at then spending a year away from ur family in aanother country knowing each time u go out the wire u have the risk of nvr seeing ur family friends or country again so i think that it is earned being a SOLDIER IN GENERAL

I'm sorry, haha, your horrible grammar and lack of punctuation make it hard to understand what you're trying to say. So you think every soldier has earned respect by just being a soldier? Good for you, I hope that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But regardless of what you think, the truth is, unless you're infantry, your life has been put on the line no more than the average citizen driving a car to and from work every day. Again, this isn't in reference to anyone in particular, but I happen to know too many "soldiers" that are given respect they haven't earned, just because they joined the military and were shipped overseas to do a job that doesn't need done in the first place. Is the military a respectable job? Absolutely, but these days, so is every other job out there.

It respectable on behalf of them leaving their families which is something 90% of us would not be able to do! You are an idiot! And have no respect for anyone obviously.
