How disgusting, what is wrong with people?? I hope he gets it everyday in pokey!

A man from Seymour faces charges of promoting child pornography in Christian County after police say he shared child pornography with a Nixa detective. Bradley Sturdefant, 26, was arrested on Jan. 4 after a long investigation that began in April 2011. Detectives obtained a search warrant in November 2011.

Police say Sturdefant admitted downloading child pornography and exchanging text messages that were sexual in nature with a child whom he met while a counselor for the American Diabetes Association summer camp.

There is a big difference between a 16 yr old and a 5 yr old. Regardless it's wrong but none of us know any specifics about the charge, so let's put our stones down for now.

"For all have sinned"....good point Cray. It's unfortunate that it had to happen, but has he done anything worse than anyone else according to God's law? No. I'm sure Brad knew the consequences if he were to get caught, but let's hope and pray this will be what turns his life or anyone's life affected by this solely over to Jesus Christ for He is the only one who can offer true forgiveness and wipe our ugly sins away!

No stones are out, just posted what was in the news. Yes, there is a difference I wouldn't want my 16 year old daughter with a 25 year old man and I would prosecute. The reason it is illegal is at 16 you can't possibly understand how a sexual relationship with an adult can impact thier lives. While the victim may think they like it and enjoy the attention the impact on the rest of thier lives is what they can not comprehend as the same often occurs when a young child is victimized. They think they like the special attention. If you do some research on sex crimes you would see the numbers are stagering and alarming. It is something that is often not spoke of but needs to front and center to save our children when they are little and at 16. The specifics are posted online in the probable cause warrant.

I'm not saying either side is right or wrong but girls these days are a whole lot differnt then girls when you was younger disturbed. With internet, and moble phones with cameras kids are showing more then just there smiles and I'd say most do it willing. Just remember there's always 2 to tango. So before you go throwing stones just remember the facts!

Well let's leave it up to the professions and justice system to find out if he committed a criminal act and just not poor judgment. All I am saying is if it was a teenage girl, yes it is still very wrong bc he was camp counselor and he was put in a position of trust and guidance, but he does not deserve the same stigma as a grandpa raping a 4 yr old. They pin the same scarlet letter on all these men. There needs to be some kind of tier system for charges like this. This will ruin his life.

Parts of religion make me sick!

You molest children and commit crimes and because you are brainwashed to fear G-d and not mans laws you believe your crimes can be simply wiped away by asking for forgiveness or going to confession.

This is how all your hate and crime perpetuates.

This is why we have the death penalty.

People will commit crimes if they have no fear of the consequences.

Yes it was wrong, but please be careful what you say. None of us are "perfect", God knows that. This town is full of his family so please be respectful. Getting on here and bashing him, puts you in the same position as Brad. No, you may not have done what he has, but God looks at us all the same, sin is sin, no matter how big or small.

Is that what you were taught and believe?

What a great way to cover up your crimes and brush them under the rug! Say that G-d says it's ok? Wow what a crock!

Well I have news for you, my G-d is NOT ok with it and if you try it him he WILL make you pay for it! No getting off by asking for forgiveness, we were taught that he would judge us for our actions, so make sure you are willing to stand before him and explain to him why you did it!

We don't talk about getting away with crimes by asking G-d to forgive us.

People are nuts! Why someone judged this as Nuts, Clueless & Disagree just goes to prove that they are idiots! What ignorant fool wants their children molested by a grown adult? Well, other than these imbeciles.

With attitudes like this no wonder child molestation is so rampant in this area? It is actually taught and passed down from generation to generation that it is ok and accepted.

No one said he should "get away with it". You are totally missing the point. Brad will suffer the consequences on this earth no doubt, but if he asks God for forgiveness, by the blood of Jesus, he can and will be forgiven. You seem to believe God will judge us one day...yes, but it's only by God's grace and mercy that any of us will enter Heaven. Examine your own sins before Brad's. Study the 10 commandments in Exodus and you will find that we are all just as guilty as Brad. None of us deserve forgiveness, but praise Jesus He paid the price for our sins so that we may receive it!

I'm sorry but I find this absolutely disturbing and sickening as a parent of a daughter. There is absolutely NO reason he should get away with this and I'm truly hoping that because of WHO his family is that he doesn't. I really hope this doesn't get swept under the rug and quite honestly I am disturbed as to how little I have heard about this story bc of who his family is. I should never have to fear to send my daughter to a summer camp bc some old pervert might try and get his hands on her. And yes I'm completely aware that he just texted and shared child porn (which by the way I don't care if the girl was 5 or 16 it still VERY wrong), however what if he hadn't of got caught? Would he have met up with this girl and molested her?!! It's sickening and I hope this community stands together and makes him pay regardless of WHO his family is. You do the crime you pay the time!!! And he better be damn glad it wasn't my daughter!!!!

Sorry folks, having kiddie porn and shaing the pictures is one hell of a difference than texting a teenage girl. Kiddie porn is JUST THAT!! These are naked pictures of children that are little(such as 3-6 years old, just an example) and people sharing these pics with other perverts. AND MAKE NO MISTAKE, THESE POPLE ARE PERVERTS!!! It doesent make any difference what their names are or how many of their family are in this town. These people make these poor children take pics of them doing horrible sexual acts. These kind of perverts should cat rated and hung.

Toots, you just proved me right again.

Unlike you, me and the rest of the sane world consider children to be from birth to the age of 18.
Not 3-6yrs old.
It is a sick and perverted disease that is past from relatives and friends down the generational line. It needs to be talked about and explained to them that this behavior is NOT alright and will not be tolerated any longer.

We are not asking you for your thoughts or opinions on what is right or wrong, we want you to follow the LAWS that were set in place by the people.

Ok people heres a thought. I have no clue what happened but I look at things from all angles. Say a girl at the camp or whatever had a crush and this man wouldnt give in. These days counselors could possibly give out emails to parents. Ok girl gets mad finds this guys email. Sends him a naked picture and he opens it not knowing what it is. Bam he just downloaded and shared child porn. Cop checks his computer and says did you open this email. He replys yes and thats considered admitting to it. All cuz of a jealous girl. Dont judge people, and wait and see if hes guilty in the end. Ill be checking to see how this case turns out

Well that theory might work except he admitted to also sharing the child pornography as well as having a sexual texting relationship with one of the little girls from the camp where he was a counselor at, so I guess your theory is out the window. It's unacceptable and I hope he gets the maximum punishment!!!

From what the radio and news has reported I personally do not condone what THEY say he did. But the media can and does twist things around for the drama.

With that said, the only perfect person who ever lived on this earth is the only one who can judge Brad. Yes he will have to pay the consequences of our legal system on earth but only Jesus can judge him for eternity. I certainly am not perfect, nor are you....

Well if you open an email and it downloads thats sharing. From one person to another. Most people know how police work. Also the texting thing. Yes he may have text this girl which is wrong but its the same way. If he admitted to texting her and she said its sexual then the police say he admitted to it. As I said before I just seen this on the news and checked it out. I dont know the guy or his family but theres more to the story that what the media or police say. If not they wouldve had him in 2011. Plus people this didnt happen in your town so hows who his family is matter
