Looking for information about Forest Lynch. He owned a bar east of Seymour. Heard they once brought in a bear to wrestle patrons. Is this true?

Do you have any idea around what year that was? I had also heard that Forest had shot someone in the bar & that the cops were told to leave the bar alone & let Forest handle it?

Anything is possible with Forest! He was a real "I can handle it" kind of guy. There was a shooting at the bar in the 80's Larry Ince was shot & killed. I don't think Forest owned it then though.

No, he didn't own it then. I knew James Bennett. I once hauled him out of that same bar some years before He killed Ince.

I also knew both Bennett & Ince. Wasn't sure about who owned the place at the time. I would like to know when your book might be out. I would like to read about the town in the days when I was protected by my parents. LOL

I am writing the book now. I have written & published one book before. I would appreciate any information I can get. If you are interested & could help me, with your approval, I'd mention you in the book or just add your name as a source. Here are some people I am interested in ( They're all deceased) Verl Pogue, Scott Codding, Merrell Lee, Manuel (Dusty) Rhodes, Jim Thomas, "Buff" Lamb and a few more. If you have any information, I'd like to hear it.

I have lived in Seymour all my life and know all the people you are asking about. I don't think you are from Seymour, or you would not be asking aobut these people. They are all dead and I feel that you are trying to get informaton that will reflect badly he town of Seymour and the residents. I do not believe you will mention the good things about Seymour and the resedents. You soud like a person who has issues and might need mental help.

You're wrong about several things but thank you for the response anyway.

I lived in Seymour for several years. Was a member of the Lions Club, Volunteer Fireman, Active with the Board of Aldermen, belonged to the Lodge on the square and donated my own time to helping the schools. I have nothing but respect and regard for the citizens of Seymour. And I would just bet, that I am more acquainted & knowledgeable about her history--than the average person who has lived there "all their lives". What contributions have you made to your city?

Thanks. I have to admit, I had serious doubts about this forum. But those doubts have now been confirmed. This is not a venue in which to share and receive information. It is used for..something else. But I did make an attempt!! Good luck all.
