I had never heared of this group of Heros. We need to hear more stories like this.
I am retired Air Force, and I spent two years on Luzon,'77>'79. I feel sort of connected to these men.
A bit of History is disappearing. God Bless them one and all.

My Father is a member of the 65th http://www.65thdiv.com/ He is a Vice President of the organization. Granted I think its cause he is one of the youngest ones at 84. He gets around good and my mom and him go to the reunions every year. He is constanlly letting me know another one died though. I respect them all. They were the greatest Generation for a reason the pride in thier hearts.

Amen, Gentlemen.
We ALL owe our liberty and freedom to these brave men, and all our military veterans.
Lest we never forget- please, thank a veteran for their service, anywhere you see them. Don't be shy.
No one's bitten my head off yet for doing so.

I just wanted to thank these men for their service. My heart is sad for them as this is their last reunion. My father was also a WWII veteran. He and my mother looked forward every year to their reunion, but their gatherings stopped a few years ago for the same reasons stated in the article. My father was one of the "babies" of the bunch and just passed away in November of last year. The sympathy letters from his shipmates who are still living were so supportive to my mother, who considered these men and their wives family. We are slowly losing a great generation. Let us never forget their sacrifice and service.

Much thanks to all those who sacrificed so much. They are truly "The Greatest Generation."

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Cancer

Romance is never far away today and it will fill you with joy. If you've been hoping to kiss a certain person under the mistletoe but have despaired that it would ever happen, your wish could come true now. If you fancy trying your luck in the sales you'll find some great bargains, but try not to get carried away and bring home the whole shop.
