How sad. I guess with hiring a caterer, cake decorator and DJ we now need to add security guards. It's a sad world we live in.

happens often, never announce your wedding details in local papers, dont leave purses in the bridal room and have someone watch the card box.

and WHY didnt anyone question his presence?? anyone with a brain knows that people will steal anyting that is or isnt nailed down. you cant even trust family members.(you can probably trust friends more than family.) they should have put a chain around it.

One family probably thought this guy was with the others family,,,,,I can see how that would happen. What I cannot understand is why didn't the brides family have some type of security at the door.

At my wedding many many years ago, if you were not on the guest list you didn't get into the reception. My wife's best friend,(as a child,) lived in Arizona and therefore was not expected to come and was not on the list. Well she drove almost straight through, showed up and was refused entry.

I thought it was mean then, and I still think it was not the right thing to do. Looking back I really think I should have married the best friend.

I doubt there was much security at an American Legion and the money was being kept in a birdcage! That should say it all right there, a black t-shirt and ball cap probably was probably the dress code for the evening.

Ah..let it go. It could be worse. I've been married for twenty years and my wife has stolen thousands from us.
