In the last five years gas prices went from average of 3.00 per gal to over 4.00 thats over 25% Auto insurance 2007 average was 795 per year to 1301 per year in 2012 thats more than 25% R.E.M.C. electrical rates were aver 5.2 cent per kw hr. 2007. Now 2012 is 9.2 cent per kw. hr. that almost doubled meaning that if your electric bill used to run 52.00 a month , now runs 92 .00 a month. There are many other costs like groceries and vehicle maint. and many more.
How has your company kept up with your cost of living vs. their profit ? They allways say that they need to maintain profit margins. Well its at your expense.
Some companies maintain huge profits to be able to start more buisness to make more profits.
Seymour has a few companies that fit this description
1) Aisin with a 1% cost of living raise average per year over the last 5 years.
This helps the company to remain strong and profitable while the employees struggle more and more each year, After the latest 2% raise the company announced millions of tax abatements to expand and hire more and production increases, of course that was after the 2% raise.
What are your companies doing ?

I work at Aisin and its true we only got 5% total over 5 years. As they maintain we do struggle to keep up. So in ten years as they maintained profits, by then we will be paying them for the privalidge to work there ? Thats what it looks like.......

While the cost of living goes up and your glad to just have a job, how long can you say that until your job dont even pay the cost of living anymore? That point will come and then it will be too late.

The big wigs at aisin are doing just fine. It's the workers who sacrifice. Same at the rest of the factories around here.

The big companies try to scare us all into accepting the fact that we cannot get a raise for 5 years but prices sure are going up. The sad fact is without us working people those fat cats would lose everything. It is time for the working class to stand up and be counted. It is our labor that keeps America going and it is our money and purchases that keep every business in America going whether they are large or small. Maybe we should all call in one day, I mean ALL of us across the country and see what happens.

Aisin started the year in the usual fashon by giving the appearence that things look bleek and we may have to let some temps go. That rumor flowed for a while. Then when the cost of living raise come out they dont expect to hear much about it do to the iffy economy and slow work. Then suddenly there is lots of work to do and the tax abatements of millions and things are looking great .....uh for now. What it boils down to is Aisin Employees are a bunch of chumps that are afraid to stand up for themselves and for what is right. Vut one thing they are good at is bitching about it. So Aisin lets them say what they want and then aisin just quotes something from the handbook as if to say , " its not our fault, its a rule written here ". So just keep on working and take what bone master throws to you and like it. Its evident you all like it, or you would try to better yourselves and the company. And you know what Im talking about.
