MariAn Gail Brown: Seymour's modern-day witch-hunt sets its sights on top cop
It looks like a witch-hunt. And it sounds like one, too. The setting for this modern-day trial is in Seymour.

I wonder if the two disgraces to the badge were even sober when they made their complaint against Sgt. Goodmaster.

I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. Boy do I get fed a lot of info on those 2.
Is or has there been any evidence to suggest that the "Top Cop" had any type of personal relationship with the fugitive?
If not then it sound to me like the corrupt department is trying to setup one of the good guys. This is typical behavior portrayed by the more corrupt elements of a police department. Usually the good cop gets shafted because he won't partake in illegalities such as cover-ups, stealing, bribes and drug abuse. Typically, you know the case by how they trump up some bullsh charge on some ridiculous technicality.
Everyone knows that I hate bad cops and merely tolerate the ones that are common senseless robots. But everyone including I will get behind a good cop.
