From what I've heard and seen, the family seems to be taking it surprisingly well. I'm not passing judgment; I just know that if one of my close friends or family members were reported missing and murdered all within a days time, I would be an absolute basket case for weeks and months to come. I definitely wouldn't be able to make a testimony in front of a congregation or even speak publicly for a long time. I definitely couldn't speak about it on the news without shedding a tear...
I guess some people are just more emotional and caring than others.
How dare you!! Her family loved her before this tragic murder and they love her still!! You won't find many MORE caring people than her parents. Everyone deals with heartache, pain, anger, and sorrow differently. There are three beautiful children that this whole family MUST be strong for. They are trying to celebrate who Sarah was because that is what SHE would have wanted!!!

Don't say you aren't passing judgement because you just did!!!

Please leave Sarah and her family out of any negative comments! They don't deserve them and they are dealing with enough.

I myself have been totally just left without words on this whole tragic event. I can only imagine anyone related or just close friended to this family and all they are dealing with. But to say that this family has taken this well is a complete disrespect the family and all involved!!

That's because you are nowhere near the person that her family and friends are.

How can you say that I'm not as kind as her friends and family? I SAID I would be emotional beyond repair and that I could not hold myself together as well as they have in public. How many of you COULD speak without crying uncontrollably? My heart goes out to them, and I am shocked that they are being so strong. That is not an insult AT ALL. I'm just saying that I simply couldn't do it. And I also said that some people were more emotional than others. I believe that to be true.
Here is my original post, since you replied to it, and OBVIOUSLY didn't read it.

Now, the real christians of russell co. show their stripes. They truly are only christians in name only. Do you think Jesus would be for execution, since he was in fact executed himself. Obviously, if the man is guilty, then he needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. However, I am tired of all the so called christians, wanting to kill this man, hating his family and everyone associated with him. Remember the words of Jesus--love thy enemy as you would your neighbor. Amen.
Believe it or don't, your bible says it. 1-john-3:15 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

A plea of not guilty was entered. This is standard procedure in any felony case which begins in district court. On June 25, a preliminary hearing will be held in district court. This will determine if there is enough probable cause to waive it to the Grand Jury. Then comes indictments. Then arraignment in Circuit Court.

The family are good Christians and know and have assurance that Sarah is in heaven and they know that they will miss her and will grieve but not as those with no hope. That is the difference.

You are absolutely correct. Christians see things differently, although it does not lessen their pain. Their love of God and trust in Him will help them deal with this tragedy. Faith in the Lord, that is the key.

I still grieve for them however.. Such a horrific thing to happen to such a wonderful woman, mother, friend, and this family as a whole. I am personally so sorry for their loss.

I think I have conquered the emotion of raw hatred toward her attacker at this point, but the sight of him on the news still makes my stomach turn.. I would like to see the justice system run it's course quickly from here on out, allowing the community and her family to have closure. Hopefully this will happen soon.

The wheels of justice always turn so slowly..

I hope you are happy with yourself making comments like this about someone you don't even know. It was very unkind and uncalled for. At the time I made this post I didn't know he wasn't driving himself and didn't force her into his car. It was just a speculation like many other posts. People shouldn't make posts before they know the all the facts, of course if that were true topix would cease to exist. I am sorry I posted something that would get you so upset that you would have to call me names. This was such a tragedy, I am sure Sarah's family and many others would have given the man every thing they owned for him to just have let her go.

Probably, probably, probably.
What you said don't make a lick of sense given the known facts of the case. She was parked at Famous Recipe, and her body was found a mile or two up 127 from there. So how do you think he got her body over a mile away from her car to dump it where it was found if he was "probably waiting for her at her car" so he could steal her purse dumbazz??? Do you think he "probably" carried her body over a mile up the side of 127 in broad daylight with hundreds of cars passing as people were going to work to dump her there because he couldn't hide her body in Famous Recipe parking lot??? Or do you think he "probably" dragged her kicking and screaming over a mile up 127 to find a place where he could murder her without being seen???
What a dumbazz, and there aint no "probably" about that.

One person mentions doing some things to make the town safer for women and children and not one soul even willing to talk about actually doing something. Nothing but talk about stuff you have no control over or have no intention of doing anything about anyway. Maybe we should just change the name of the town to BigTalk No Action Town to match it's Topix contributions. News flash: Like it or not, no one is coming to fix this for us, we are the people we have been waiting on to show up and do something.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Libra

Be very careful when handling financial matters today because not everything is as straightforward as it seems. For instance, someone may tell you about a fail-safe way of making money but neglect to mention all the reasons why it's totally illegal. There could also be mistakes if you're spending money, such as being short-changed or overcharged. So watch out!
