Way to Don. Keep up the good work.

I usually feed the stray cats and dogs in the neighborhood when we have leftovers.
This one cat I didn't know existed until a couple of days passed with me leaving no food out at night. I just assumed I was feeding something, not really caring what type of animal as long as they benefitted.
Afew days ago when I had to go to the garage for something he/she darted from around the side of the garage as if to say,''okay pal, where's the chow!''
The next day while returning home form an errand late in the evening this cat was on the back porch sitting amongst the Christmas wreafs waiting on me again. Surprisingly he didn't scoot off the porch when he saw me; he waited until I was almost on top of him before he left. Well I got the message and raided the fridge for some baloney. I put it out but I had no way of knowing whether he ate it or some raccoon, which I had seen once a few years ago but the neighborhood kids say they saw it a couple of weeks ago.

So have a Merry Christmas.

please, please, if you are feeding strays, please spay/neuter them! I also feed strays, and I trap/catch them and have them altered. Otherwise, you will be amazed and horrified to see how that strays population shoots up....one breeding female can have 3-4 litters a year, and cats breed by 6 months old. There are low cost spay/neuter clinics in the Akron area, unfortunately, the city doesn't support a spay/neuter program, so it is all out of pocket- but it's worth it, you will save lives.
