((chucklin')) Don't look now, but nationwide, banks with their ARM loans haven't done well for homeowners either.

Evergreen looks like small potato's in comparison.

WOW! this is a stand up guy. He stepped up at an early age. Looks like he stepped down a bit latter in life. Lorraine McMullen said she had been on the boat with Willan ''three or four times in family functions,'' but denied suggestions that he would use it to flee.

''He's here, isn't he?'' McMullen said.'''He's here because he wants to fight this and prove nothing was done wrong.''
or....he's here because he's been in handcuffs in a cell awaiting trial on his charges of stealing akron area residents life savings so he can have a yacht to not flee prosecution with. WOW. this is really a stand up guy.good luck in hell if you did this david. you know!

"HE WANTS TO FIGHT THIS AND PROVE NOTHING WAS DONE WRONG"

Let all those people who he illegally sold securities to present their story. How he lied and used inaccurate info - without even a license.

Why has Conner plead guilty - Conner wasn't acting alone and I doubt he would want to go down as guilty if they did nothing wrong.

Why doesn't he just confess and save everyone the time, and money to prove what he did was wrong? Because he doesn't care about anybody but his own egotistical self.

She noted in questioning Willan's mother that he is accused of ''stealing millions of dollars'' in Evergreen funds and asked if she were backing her son because any mother simply would not admit serious wrongdoing by her child.

''Possibly,'' Sue Ann Willan said,''but I just can't imagine he would do anything like that.''

Hey MOM, 147 first degree felonies.I dont think there is anything wrong with your imagination, its your common sense that is seriously deficient.

He should go straight to hell. He did miss up peoples hopes and dreams and charged had people paying $800 or more mortages. Yeah, you know his mom and dad would agree he would not run, but he made sure their pockets were fat too. He should have to stay in jail. He is not better than those white collar ENRON guys. Only in America can someone white steal 3 million.

He's probably not liking the color orange right now.

Mom should be ASHAMED.

The properties offered for his bond were probably bought with ill gotten gains.

No way I would give him one red cent. He can sit in his beautiful (cell)with his window view (or paint one on the wall) and enjoy his 30 year mortgage sentence!

Dave is honest, sincere, hard working and making things happen here in our great city...standing on the dias next to the mayor, and deputy mayor, 2006. Signs all over town what a great part of the American Dream he has brought to our town.
One question...
Why did the closing statements not match the actual contract price for the home?
Who wrote the escrow instructions if any?
Who signed the closing documents?
Why were lots purchased by inside, straw buyers for $3,000, then sold to Evergreen for $12-$14 thousand dollar?
Someone had to have knowledge of the process.
Someone took in the money?

Ya I'm wondering why they don't state who the other 2 people are? Putting up homes that probably have mortgages (probably even doctored ones served up by Conner & Co.)? So they'd lose what? Equity? If they even have any. All speculation of course as I have no idea the means of the parents and/or niece.

What I don't understand is how he could be so delusional to think the prosecutors would have wasted all this money coming up with 147 false counts, gotten Conner to deal on own multiple first thru fifth degree felonies, etc, etc. if they didn't have grounds? He's got to be hoping for a technicality or some other fluke that will get him off.

No way his political contributions over the years and payoffs for zoning/inspectors to look the other way are going to be enough for them to throw themselves under the bus and take the heat for his problems.

2.8M is not a lot to have stashed away really when you think about how much he had access to. I realize its all they "cannot" account for, but it still seems low.

Funny how he seems to age 10 years from week to week now. Look at the black circles under his eyes. It must take some deeper level of determination to sit in jail every day for a month and not give in and just tell the truth.

Willan hurt a lot of people. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He did the crime, let him do the time. Prosecutors should also take a closer look at his so called friends and family members. If Willan is able to make bail, he may skip town with help. A crook is a crook.

these prosecutors are a joke

bringing up that he could flee in his boat

what a bunch of losers, if he was going to flee he had two years since he has begun being investigated.

in this country you are innocent until proven guilty and have a right to a fair trial and to fair bond

Deviations and Preferences:
Kudos to your response you just about hit the nail on the head. He is a decrebid loser who along with his family have demented values, which go way back, just look at his parents. Their is not a straight one in the bunch.
