Wondering how it is going "inside" the new facility? Word is, from the "inside".... less staff, more beds; cutting staff hours 1 day, 12 hours, per payperiod; high percentage of staff seeking employment else where. This is a sad, sad story.

I have heard the same from the "inside" It is very sad this is the way to start the new hospital off under staffed , nurses with more patients then they should have. The last thing I want is for me or my family to be taken to a hospital where the staff is so under staffed and unhappy , it becomes unsafe for my family to go there. So I guess until they get someone in admin. that cares about the patients and not just the numbers then to knoxville we go.

I have a very close friend that was a great employee and very loyal, but was fired because she had red streaks in her hair. I think the administation and management is lacking. One of my other friends mentioned this and was told to be quiet and not discuss the issue, apparently, the ones in charge are trying to cover it up and do not want to admit they were wrong and this person was discriminated against. They are very unfair to employees! Maybe the hospital needs a management change!!!!!!

Intimidation tactics are alive and well at FSS ..now LaConte. It is ridiculous what some of the managers get away with there...the employees are threatened on a regular basis if something happens there. Some very GOOD and LOYAL employees have been railroaded by the management there. They have gone on to work for other facilities that appreciate them. If there ever was a place that needs to be cleaned out from the top down it is LaConte....very sad that such a new and beautiful place hides some really rotten people and the good employees are never safe...they can get stabbed in the back in an instant. There can be a large, beautiful new circus tent but if you move the same clowns.....well.....nothing will work....very sad situation.

Intimidation tatics, you are so correct. Beautiful facility with UGLY MANAGEMENT under the big tent. It is a political good ole boy system with uneducated management which needs to be removed. You cannot do your job effectively and at same time have to watch over your shoulder to see who it stabbing you next. UNFAIR TREATMENT!!!!
My friend was discriminated against and the management was very, very unfair to her. You know the old saying "what goes around comes around." Management is on a big high now, but, things in life do change.

You are so right about the "good ole boy" system and I might mention that some of the people that have been promoted got some of their degrees online and their "friends" did the work for them because they could not handle it....true statement. This was done simply because of the "good ole boy" network and the need to promote within the system.....oh these people just can not stand outsiders.

I am just wondering when the big dogs from knoxville will wake up and come in and clean house . Administration needs to go . They just like the power and don't even consider the danger they put the patients in. This is a dangerous hospital to go to right now. Over worked understaffed employees that sick people depended on . Everyone is walking around stressed out not knowing what they will do next. They are some really great nurses and staff at this hospital it is sad what this administration has done to them . Its time for Covenant Health to come in and clean house.

How can anyone that cares about patient and people keep cutting staff in critical areas . I have also heard this hospital has 3 times more complaints since they moved. I bet that none of administration has got cut back or any of there staff. No they have not they are going to cut on the floors where patient care is Compromised .

How about the people they are firing ? Some with 25 years at the hospital. Any stability that anyone had is not there anymore. it just intimidation.

OK.... so HOW do we get Covenant Knoxville to LISTEN..... to see what the "worker bees" see? Because if the upper mgnt is confronted, they will do the big ole cover up. ps... the person fired after 25 years..... the staff was told said person resigned ....ASK TO SEE THE LETTER OF RESIGNATION.. because there is not one!!!!

I think calls need to be made. They have employee afraid to say anything. Somehow Covenant Knoxville needs to be made aware of all the patient complaints.

Also I have heard that they are a sign in the hospital that is a direct violation of a federal law . I do think this hospital takes federal money. I do think one good complaint to the feds will have them in that hospital faster then they know.

Apparently, good ole boy system works good when you take a LPN and jump move them directly to HR, most HR people I know have education in knowing how to deal with people and what the labor laws are, but, in Covenant's Plan they do whatever they wish. For those of you that have been discriminated against and treated unfair do not bother to report your complaint to the "Integrity Committee" because they will not answer your complaint, they just keep putting you off in hope you forget everything and forgive, however, there are (2) great attorneys in Knoxville that will determine up front if you have a good case and cause. Don't ask for redemption ask for compensation.

Jobless, know exactly whom you are referring to! Sad to hear that about the "Intergrity". There are alot of people who have been discriminated against, treated and fired that will not speak up. Todays news: someone who, last year at this time was on verge of being fired, got promoted to a manager today!!!!!!

Well, let's believe it when we see it!!!! You know brown nosing and the good ole buddy system goes a long way at LeConte. Someone needs to wake up and smell the roses. A lot of wrong doings going on, a lot of good people being treated very unfair.

Covenant just recently merged with one of our local hospitals. From reading this thread, we are in for an rude awakening in our town. Sounds like people are not pleased with Covenant.

It is not Covenant it's the management at Sevier.
