Some of the teams in emc are great teams, and just like with everything else you always have some loud mouth people trying to start drama! The team shouldn't get the blame it should be the parents

Actually they don't. As long as they live in the English Mountain area. My son plays for Talbott and we live in Rutledge.

Talbott Titans have an awsome peewee team this year. the team went undefeated last year and lost to pf in playoffs, well pf was our first game this year and beat them 34 to 6.

I hope it changes , especially the favortism from the coaches who worry about their kids first, then their buddies kids second and then fill in the rest of the spots with the best of the rest!

Nope, that part stays the same. Except, if the coaches don't have children playing, they play the kids of parents who have money! Just keep your checkbook handy and VOLUNTEER the money, they won't ask you for it. Just read the paper, of local high schools and you see the same names OVER and OVER!

Then add in the schedule set by the TSSAA and while they win by numerous points, it is really because they play teams that aren't equal in size or talent.

Watch the playoffs, you will see what happens. Maybe the TSSAA needs to revamp their rules. To include having to explain why your child is not at their zoned school and wanting to attend a powerhouse football school. I am sure it isn't for academics!
tired of it

I think it is kind of silly for a little kids football team to have 8 coaches and then those coaches kids play both sides of the ball. Then if you go to the head of the organization they act like their is no favortism going on in anyway and that you are crazy and you are black balled if you open your mouth about it.Im all for my child to be part of the team but when he is a better player at a certain important position and then he sits behind a kid who is smaller, younger and dont have the same ability that is a joke, not to mention the kids father was a coach in previous years and works on and uses influence to make sure his kid plays and the coach goes along with it? What a joke especially after the season began with a speech about how the best players will play, I didnt hear the part about the best players will play after their children and their buddies children!
