SPHS knows how to talk the talk, but not walk the walk. Unfortunately, when real world situations arise, the teachers and guidance counselors don't know how or want to deal with it.

This whole thing isn't about Severna Park. The people that put this together go to Broadneck, Severna Park, Severn and other schools and they are concerned citizens. This was not sponsored by Severna Park High School. That was poor reporting. Secondly, you can thank lawyers for preventing people from being human and often hands are tied when it comes to offering real help, such as ina school setting. That's why it is a community outreach, to have friends and relatives understand what to LISTEN for. Why is a school responsible for the entirety of people's lives? Bring families and caring communities back to the forefront and stop depending on the government to raise a child.

Schools are responsible because our kids are forced to attend these schools and the schools provide a very negative environment. There are many bad tenured teachers, high crime, bullying both physical and verbal, etc.

In my opinion, high schools have become obsolete -costly due to a high overhead(e.g., busing, buildings, admin, pensions etc.) to disseminate information. Much more efficient to teach online, just like colleges, and without all the drama.
