Severna Park is split by this Great Divide and the crosswalks are insufficient to protect pedestrians. The WALK signal is on for like one second, meanwhile cars turning left on too the highway (while you still have the right-of-way) will come close to running you over while you are crossing. The area is so pedestrian and bike unfriendly. Minimal or no sidewalks, no bike routes. You are almost forced to use a car to go places that are short distance just so you have protection.
