Surprising how most jailbirds wake up when it is to their benefit to ACT as though they care. We'll be hearin' from this jerk-off CHILD, AGAIN! Like the OTHERS, just when they were getting their lives together, this happened. Ever hear of that one?

After reading this story I really have hope that this program will help teenagers cope with this problem. I've seen many people in Hanover street racing down "The Golden Mile" (Eisenhower Drive) over the years using very poor judgement of common sense and hope that this will be a wakeup call.

Yes, Street Racing is a very dangerous thing, Racing in general is dangerous but when you place yourself and non participating citizens in danger then we have an issue. Racing was made for a legal off the highway complex where rules and regulations govern safety.

I'm not disagreeing with Believable because his/her point is a very true fact in todays world but I really have hope that there is a large majority of a success rate through this program created by Mr. Stevenson.

Unfortunately, this short term program appears to have had little effect. This unlicensed driver was on the street doing burn outs just this evening. Yes, respect is an important lesson to learn. Please keep trying to teach Mr. Hoerr the meaning of respect for his safety and ours.

I remember cruzin up and down Eisenhower Drive drive hoping to catch a red light. And when you finally caught one your heart skipped a beat. Then your hopes of a race are crushed when a 80 yr old lady pulls up beside you. Those were the days!

Obviously, you have a very short memory! I "WAS" that 80 year old lady who kicked your a$$ in my Pinto, until I was hit in the rear at the next intersection and it caught on fire. You were so "em-bare-a$$ed" that you went home and put you Corvair in the garage.
Never to be seen again, until yesterday's rods show.

I have read the comments in YDR... about the RESPECT FOR LIFE program in the NATIONAL DRAG SCHOOL. So I will make these statements. First, Dan WAS NOT on the street burning rubber Saturday night, however, if he or anyone else did such a thing after going through this school... HE WILL LOSE HIS LICENCES FOR 10 YEARS AND DESERVEDLY SO! GOT IT!

Second, if any of the sissy street racers really wanted to learn professional racing.. it starts in this classroom. Dan has already earn one trophy championship, but we also have scholarship to give away to both SPORTSMAN and PROFESSIONAL DRAG RACING SCHOOLS.

The 8-year olds driving junior dragsters at the tracks are faster than most immature street racers on the street. Any kind of stunt on the street to impress your friends says alot about you; basically that you're a follwer and have no will to be your own person. You just want your freinds to accept you and think your 'cool.' Your're not. I say to all street racers... you couldn't handle the situations we present in our classroom. And if someone fails to learn, then it will be at their peril. As for your 'friends' they will forget you and never visit you in prison.... some friends.. eh?

Last, as for our sucess rate? Again that falls upon the indivudal. If one from a class of 5 or 6 decides to be an 'jerk'.... then it is on him or her and jail will be their destination. Then they will recall all those lessons. However, we are proud that a number of our previous students now serve in the US Armed Forces, Air Force, Army and Marines. A few are in Afganistan. They grew up and became a man. Other have become sportsman racers and others simply when on inlife and passed through that immature stage of their life.

So, if you want to learn to become a championship sportsman drag racer... our school is the place to start. We charge nothing. [email protected]

I stand corrected, the burn out was not done in the evening, it was in the afternoon, after unloading a car from the car trailer. Check with his grandmother who was doing a lot of yelling.

This is not a reflection of the program, but this individual. As I said initially, don't give up, keep trying to teach street racers the dangers and keep trying to teach them respect, please keep trying.
