Here we go again with more of the same in West York. Some of those bitter, self serving council people, you know the ones, will stop at nothing to get rit of your current services. Here's yet another example of how your officials ignore the wishes of the residents and seek to turn the borough of West York into the ghetto of York City. Why not focus on West York's issues, problem bars, run down neighborhoods, too many section eight housing projects, out of control crime, system abusers, mental health issues, drug and alcohol abusers, to name a few. I would spend more money to make West York a safe enviornment and attract good citizens promoting family values, rather than trying to dump West York into the city and North York borough, have you seen those neighborhoods?

Ben, if you had any idea what you were talking about you might have a valid point to make. This is not about getting rid of services, but how to provide excellent services at a reasonable cost to residents. As I have said several times, but apparently many people still do not get it. You cannot, in any reasonable fashion, make informed decisions about anything without information. Certain members of the council have continuously stalled and disrupted the information gathering process. Their tactics have ranged from, whipping up the same 3% of Borough residents with anonymous flyers full of lies to disrupt council meetings to shredding public documents. The motion that was acted on that those members claim was to move on joining the authority was, in fact, a motion to advertise and hold a public hearing on the subject so that ALL residents have a chance to voice their opinions. Please do your homework from now on before making a judgment about something.
