Peter Byrne was a much decorated veteran of the Vietnam War who operated an Organic Farm on Seven Valleys Road. The lead horse was named "Nick" - a gentle soul and much beloved Percheron working horse. Nick had to be put down this AM as his injuries were too grave to recover from. Mr. Byrne was admitted to ICU and suffered multiple injuries including puncture lungs, brokern ribs, and a laceration on his skull. Family is en route to the farm to run the family business as Mr. Byrne is undergoing treatment.
