Thanks for all that commentary Shane, but us West Yorkers ain't as dumb as you make us out to be. We can sure spot a horsefu**in when we feel one coming. So how about sitting back in your easy chair a plan your political strategy. Sounds like you may have already ended it in West York. So for the record, there's no tax increase coming and the cops didn't ask for wage increases. Sounds like a win win to us, what did we miss?
What is the issue

If there's not going to be a tax increase, and we residents of West York want to keep the excellent services of the police department, what's the problem? I have respect for a police department that has proven itself time and time again as setting the standard for other departments to follow. I've heard it many times from other residents, if you come to West York to break the law, you came to the wrong place. So all this talk about saving money with regional policing sounds good on paper, but what do we really know about the end result? I spoke to many people out there protected by regional police, and I heard the horror stories, slow response times, difficulty finding their way around, and not taking action when necessary. I hear they write a lot of traffic tickets, but couldn't you train a monkey to do that? No, I am not sorry at all that we can rest easy for the next 3 years knowing our cops got our backs.
